Jolly is a four year old play snuggler once he gets to know you. He is small, almost 10 pounds. Due to his anxiety, he needs a friend in the house with him, the more the better. He is not house trained at night (needs a belly band) but is improving, during the day he likes to go out every few hours. He usually has a walk of about 2 blocks. Jolly is a very sweet boy, however loud voices and noises can scare him. He is an early riser and will want his human friends to play with him. Jolly came from a rough situation, so a calmer home would be best for him. Vet check is required as well as a home visit

Benjie is a sweet senior Pekingese that was brought back to the shelter at no fault of his own. He has been nothing but the sweetest senior gentleman and seems to do best with dogs in similar size and temperament. Benjie enjoys soft beds, wet food, and some good rubs. His breed does require regular grooming and we have a great list of groomers we can refer you to. Benjie does have a high grade heart murmur that may require future care. Our kennel staff can go over all his medical with you when you visit this sweet old man. He would love a retirement home where he can truly relax. We do require children 10 and up and dog to dog intros of resident canines. If you have it in your heart to give this sweet older fella a chance stop by the VBSPCA today!

  My name is Halo and I have been placed in a Texas Shelter and Critter Cavalry Rescue is coming to get me.  My owner has over 25 dogs and the local city Animal Control has made my former owner give up a lot of the dogs.  I am one of them.  I am a pure bred Pekingnese girl that is only 3 years old and I weigh 11 pounds.  I am a really good girl and a family who volunteers with the shelter, saved the day and took me home to foster.   I was terrified when I had to walk in that shelter last week.     They say I am a little treasure chest of love and kisses.   I am housebroken and leash trained and I love all other animals like cats and dogs.  I have also have been around children and I love them too!   I am told that Pekes don't last long in rescue and I really hope not.  I want a new forever home ASAP and I am willing to travel long distances to get a perfect fit.   I am little, pretty and mighty sassy and loving.    Critter Cavalry Rescue is excited to offer me to a well-qualified home that loves my breed and my quick and sassy personality.  I am awaiting your inquiry, so write to the following email:  ccrnewengland@gmail.com   I can ride up from Nashville, TN only the transport van with other dogs and cats.     They will reserve a crate for me this coming weekend, May 3rd if someone qualifies quickly.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 30, 2025, 9:41 pm

Trying to rehome-bonded pair with Dunkin, if possible ******************************* Chimi was given to us when he was about 6 mths old. He is updated on shots. Microchip. Neutered. He is about 3yo When he gets excited he tends to get really hyper. He loves sniffing around. He loves hugs and belly scratches. Very curious when going on walks. He does need a lot of love but I have way to much medical issues going on I am not able to take care of him.
