Story
Meet Laith — a little cloud of sweetness looking for his forever home Laith is a 10-month-old male Persian with a stunning red and cream coat that looks like it was brushed with sunshine. With his soft, fluffy fur and gentle expression, he’s the kind of cat who turns heads—but it’s his loving personality that truly makes him special. This sweet boy has a calm, affectionate nature and enjoys the simple things in life: cozy spots to nap, soft pets, and being close to his people. Laith is still young, so he has a playful side too, but he’s especially known for his relaxed, easygoing temperament—perfect for a peaceful home. Like many Persian cats, Laith will thrive with regular grooming and a family who appreciates his gentle spirit and beauty. In return, he’ll give you endless love, quiet companionship, and those adorable, soulful looks that melt your heart. Laith is ready to leave his past behind and start a new chapter filled with love, safety, and comfort. All he needs now is someone to say “yes” to forever. Apply to adopt Laith and give this beautiful boy the home he deserves. #AdoptDontShop #PersianCat #RescueCat #CatAdoption #AdoptLaith #FluffyCat #ForeverHomeWanted #RescueIsLove #CatLovers #AdoptableCats #SaveALife #RedAndCreamCat #LuxuryCatLook #CatRescue   All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate.  Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Potential adopters for our Persian cats need to have prior Persian cat experience as they need to be well cared for.  Grooming, dental, and veterinarian exams are done once a year, and a good quality brand of cat food such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, or Purina Pro plan is the upper tier level with a black label. We are a rescue and get what we get in terms of cats in need of a home. In no way do we work with breeders or buy the cats from the Friday markets so we can put them up for adoption as a rescue. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11596/generic Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and by an approved application.   NVEcats aims to increase education in Egypt and around the world about these magnificent and intelligent cats. Cats and kittens are not adopted out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We choose to match our applicants and cats based on what we deem as best suited for that particular cat or kitten. ##2689037##

Good with cats,
Story
Meet our very pretty Persian girl named Penny! Penny is about 14 years old and she came to our shelter after her owner lost their home due to an eviction. Right of the bat Penny was a very gentle and sweet girl here. She was very confused when she lost her home, but she let us comfort her. Penny's back end and tail was a little matted, so we had a couple areas shaved at our vet office. Penny did not react at all and was perfectly fine being shaved. She is a friendly girl who may hide at first, but you just need to scoop her up and put her on your lap. She has the typical squishy face of a Persian which always makes it look like she has an attitude, but she is a very nice cat. We would love to find a nice, loving home for Penny to relax in. She lived with other cats in her previous home and she was fine with them. She is scared of dogs, but she may do okay with a very calm cat savvy dog. Penny can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Penny Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

Story
Meet Basboosa — Sweet as Her Name Basboosa is a 6-month-old little survivor with a heart full of love. Once abandoned and left out on the street, she’s already overcome more than most kittens her age ever should. Thankfully, a kind neighbor brought her into the safety of a building stairwell, where she’s been waiting patiently for something better — a real home. Just like the dessert she’s named after, Basboosa is incredibly sweet. If you’ve ever tasted basboosa, you know it melts in your mouth — and this little girl will melt your heart the same way. She’s gentle, affectionate, and has a soft, loving nature that shines through despite her rough start. Basboosa is still young, playful, and ready to bond deeply with someone who will never let her down again. She deserves more than temporary shelter — she deserves warmth, safety, and a family who will cherish her. If you’re looking for a companion who is as sweet as she is resilient, Basboosa is waiting for you. Give this little girl the happy ending she’s been hoping for All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate.  Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
