Story
BERGIE is a precious BLACK AND GRAY PERSIAN with big amber eyes. He is approximately 5 years old, is neutered, front-paw declawed, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped. He weighs close to 12 lbs. Bergie was surrendered to our organization by his owner because he was most likely bullied by their other older cat, and didn’t like the fact that there was a dog in the house either. Bergie’s foster mom is very smitten with this sweet and soft fur boy. Despite the sometimes rather serious look on his adorable face, he is a trusting and gentle little lamb. As soon as he sees his foster mom, he ambles over for some face and head rubs and likes to hang out close by while she is around. During Yoga, he likes to supervise his foster mom to make sure that she does her poses correctly . During the day, Bergie enjoys spending some time on the window sill so he can observe what is going on outside, or he just likes to hang out on his homemade kitty bed. He is one of those rare kitties that doesn’t seem to be at all interested in cat trees or cat beds. He does engage in a little play time when his foster mom swishes around DaBird or the Mink Wand toy, so she would encourage his future guardians to play with him a couple of times a day to keep him entertained and stimulated. He also occasionally bats around a spring toy on his own, but isn’t exactly a play monster. When his foster mom sits on the couch to watch some TV or read a book, he loves to snuggle with her, making him a wonderful, soft and warm lap companion. Bergie came in very matted. His foster mom noticed that he didn’t appreciate being brushed, probably because the tight mats were hurting him, so we had him shaved under sedation. He is now sporting a fashionable lion cut, making him look like an adorable mini lion. His foster mom finds him to be an easy going, chill, and non-intrusive little cat. As stated already, Bergie will need a home without any other pets now or in the future. Please do not apply for him if you plan on adding another pet to your home. In rescue we often find that many declawed cats do much better as an only pet. Therefore an adult-only and quiet home will be ideal for him. Older, respectful children should be fine. Bergie had some urinary issues in the past, most likely caused by a dry food only diet in addition to the stress of the other animals. We did a complete urinalysis and x-rays for him to rule out bladder stones, which he doesn’t have. His foster mom has added daily portions of wet food, which he very much enjoys. Preference will be given to a home that will continue to offer him wet food, and also has experience with the coat maintenance of long haired cats. The last picture in his bio shows his full and glorious coat before he was shaved. ADOPTION FEE $275. FOSTERED IN MEQUON, WI.

Story
Penelope is a sweet, gentle girl with a calm, quiet personality. She’s independent and not a lap cat, but enjoys being nearby and loves cozy, warm spots like heated blankets and heating pads. She would do best in a peaceful home and would likely thrive as the only cat. She has a beautiful long coat and takes excellent care of her fur, with no history of matting. She does require regular brushing and occasional grooming due to hairballs. She is exceptionally well-behaved during grooming - very patient and gentle, with no hissing, biting, or swatting. Penelope loves clean litter boxes and has a history of occasional UTIs, so she needs an attentive owner and a consistent routine. She enjoys laser pointer play, eats dry kibble (1/4 cup twice daily), prefers pate wet food mixed with water if offered, and is great about drinking fresh water. Also, sweet P was a rescue and was unfortunately declawed from a previous owner.

Story
Name: Baby  Birthday: 3/1/2020 Sex: Spayed Female  Breed: Domestic longhair Traits: Good with other cats Current Diet: Morning: 1/4 cup Fussie Cat Dry food Night: 3oz can wet food (variety of brands & flavors)  Free feeding is NOT recommended  Adoption Fee: $50 our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, tested for FIV/FELV and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms. About Me : This gorgeous cat with long fur and big, expressive green eyes will quickly steal your heart. Baby is looking for a very special, understanding home. She is quite shy at first and will need time and patience to feel safe in a new environment. Once she trusts you, her sweet side shines, she has a favorite female volunteer and begins purring almost immediately when gently pet, showing just how loving she can be with someone she feels comfortable with. She does seem to prefer women over men, so we believe she would do best bonding with a female adopter. Because of her sensitive nature, she needs a calm, quiet home without children. She is okay with other cats, but her experience with dogs is unknown. She previously lived with an older owner who could no longer care for her, and unfortunately her family felt she was too shy for their household. We know that with the right person, someone patient, gentle, and willing to let her set the pace—she will make a deeply rewarding companion. If you’re looking for a soft, quiet soul who just needs time and kindness to blossom, she may be the perfect match for you! December 28, 2025, 5:40 pm

Story
Turbo     (White and Gray) Birthday: 3/15/15 Sex: Neutered Male  Breed: Domestic Longhair Fee: $150. Our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and negative for FIV/FELV! Traits: Good with adults and older respectful kids, May tolerate another calm cat with slow, proper introductions, but likely happiest as the only pet Current Diet: Mostly canned food in a variety of brands and flavors (he’s a big fan of Dave’s pate!) Measured feedings only, free feeding is not recommended About Me : Turbo was taken in by a local animal hospital after he was found as a stray. The animal hospital tried to find him a home but after a period of no luck in finding him a home, they reached out and asked if we could take him in. Turbo was scared at first, but quickly warmed up to people once he felt safe. Turbo takes time to adjust to new environments but once he is comfortable he is very sweet! He loves to be pet and cuddled! Turbo is a big cat. We do not know his genetics, but he is larger than most average house cats. He previously lived in a foster home with other cats, dogs, and children. While he tolerated the environment, he would sometimes get nippy or upset when overwhelmed. Because of this, we believe he will thrive in a quiet, low-stress home without young kids. A home where he can truly relax and feel secure.
