And this handsome 8-year-old gentleman is perfectly happy to prove that a beautiful name suits a beautiful cat regardless of who’s wearing it. 🖤 With his gorgeous long black coat and quieter personality, Iris has a bit of a mysterious leading-man quality about him. But underneath that sophisticated exterior is a cat described with three particularly lovely words: shy, relaxed, and cuddly. Iris has spent the past several years as a beloved indoor cat and is now looking for a new home because his owner's demanding schedule means there simply isn't enough time at home to give him the companionship he deserves. While Iris may be the more reserved type, he reportedly does very well with new people. Give him a little opportunity to get comfortable, and there's a cuddly guy waiting underneath that initial shyness. Iris has also done well with other cats and with children. He's accustomed to feline company and could potentially join a home that already has another cat with appropriate introductions. Dogs, however, remain a question mark. At 8 years old, Iris has left the kitten chaos behind. He's a relaxed adult who sounds much more interested in comfortable surroundings, affection, and companionship than creating mayhem at 3 a.m. And really, that's part of Iris's charm.
