Story
Rye is around 14 years old and is a very lovable cat. Prior to her current home, she came from a friend whose grandmother passed and was originally with 7 other animals. She was then dumped by an ex partner. She is a very vocal cat and loves to talk your ear off whenever she can. She loves to cuddle you and will sit on your lap while you pet her. She is not much of a toy girl but she does love to scratch and climb a cat tree. Rye is a longhair lady and needs someone who can manage her coat and help her look her best. Rye has some toileting issues to where she will urinate inside the litter box but will not defecate. We do not have time to sit with her and give her the opportunity to figure out her needs so she uses the litter box the way she should. Rye also has some respiratory issues and you can hear them when she breathes. Please do not let any of her needs deter you from our special girl. We wish we could give her the care she needs but we fall short and know she deserves more.

Story
Torte and Crepe: These two beautiful long-haired tabby girls didn’t just come from a home… they came from a situation that changed overnight. Their caretaker was facing eviction after her landlord stopped paying the mortgage. At the same time, she had taken in cats she wanted to help—but without access to spay/neuter resources, a couple cats quickly turned into 14. When we stepped in, we were able to bring 8 kittens and 5 adult cats to safety. But heartbreakingly, one cat went missing during the chaos of moving. We are still hoping he finds his way back home. 🐾 Out of that uncertainty came these two. ✨ Crêpe and Torte (can be adopted together or separate ) are stunning long-haired brown tabby sisters with the softest coats and even softer hearts. They are gentle, sweet, and learning what it means to feel safe and loved. They’ve been through so much—but you’d never know it from the way they lean into affection. Now all they need… is a home of their own 💛 💌 Interested in meeting them? Start here: https://form.jotform.com/202214857624050

Story
Meet Dellwood! Dellwood is a handsome 6.5-year-old domestic long-hair tuxedo with a heart every bit as big as his fluffy cheeks. His story started when one of our team members was helping care for a colony in a backyard. The homeowner was feeding a mama cat and her kittens and was convinced the beautiful long-haired tuxedo she kept seeing was the mom of one of the litters. We smiled and said, That's definitely not mama...look at those tomcat cheeks! Like so many colonies, there was a lot more going on than anyone realized. Cats come and go, some stay hidden, and there's almost always a bigger story happening in the background. Over the next few weeks, we trapped the younger kittens, their mom, another teenage kitty that had quietly joined the group...and finally, Dellwood. When the drop trap fell, we walked up expecting a typical feral tomcat. Instead, Dellwood just sat there looking at us. We looked at each other and said, I wonder if he's friendly... Sure enough, he was. Now, don't get us wrong. He was nervous. He'd give a little hiss when you reached toward him, but it was more of an automatic response than anything aggressive. He has never been mean. He simply needed time to learn that people could be trusted. And once he started trusting us...what a wonderful cat he turned out to be. Dellwood has become one of the best caregivers in his colony. When another cat is nervous, he's right there beside them. He gives them confidence, comfort, and reassurance. Watching him with the other cats has been incredibly special. Hes just a steady, gentle soul. Dellwood would love a quiet home with people who understand that some cats just need a little extra time to settle in. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines through. If one of his colony friends happened to go home with him, we'd absolutely love that. He enjoys having feline companions and really seems to thrive when another cat is around. If that's not possible, we'd love for him to have another friendly cat waiting for him at home. Recently, Dellwood treated himself to a little spa day. He had a dental with a few extractions and is feeling so much better. He also has a little scar on one eye from an old infection, but it doesn't bother him one bit. Like many former tomcats, Dellwood is FIV positive. The good news? FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives with routine veterinary care and good nutrition. They also live safely alongside FIV-negative cats in most households. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have about FIV. We love helping people learn more about these amazing cats. We think Dellwood has spent enough time taking care of everyone else. Now its his turn to have someone take care of him.
