DOB: Feb 10, 2026 Spirit is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. With her adorably grumpy expression, Spirit always looks like she's contemplating life's greatest mysteries. But beneath that serious face is a sweet gentle kitten who is quietly growing more confident every day. Since arriving, Spirit has sometimes preferred the comfort of her enclosure and favourite hiding spots while she takes in her new surroundings. Although naturally shy, she's ventured out a few times to explore, visit the other kitten enclosures, and join in on playtime when she feels comfortable. Spirit enjoys playing with springs, tunnels, ball towers, and wand toys, especially when she has the reassurance of her sister, Perseverance, nearby. Watching her sister explore seems to give Spirit a little extra confidence, and she loves chasing toys and playing alongside her. The pair also enjoy curling up together for naps after playtime. Quiet and calm by nature, Spirit may be a little cautious when meeting new people and can back away at first. Once she feels safe, however, she happily accepts gentle pets and head scratches. Spirit would thrive in a calm, understanding home that respects her boundaries and celebrates her growing confidence. Because she takes comfort from feline companionship, she would likely do best adopted with Perseverance or into a home with another friendly, playful young cat who can help encourage her independence and bring out her playful side. With a little patience and encouragement, this sweet girl is already showing that there's a playful kitten hiding behind that delightfully grumpy face.

True to her name, Perseverance is quietly finding her confidence and showing everyone what a wonderful kitten she is. Since arriving at the adoption centre, she has been steadily growing more relaxed and assured, becoming more comfortable in her surroundings each day. She is quite happy to explore, play, and observe everything going on around her, taking it all in at her own thoughtful pace. Perseverance has an adventurous spirit and will investigate anything new in her environment. She can often be seen jogging around with her unique little gait, checking in on the other kittens and taking in everything happening around her. Naturally observant, she enjoys sitting back and watching the world before deciding when she’d like to join in. She loves interactive play with wand toys and also enjoys ball towers, springs, and tunnels, though she is just as content entertaining herself with a kicker toy when the mood strikes. Perseverance gets along beautifully with other cats and remains calm and steady regardless of what is happening around her. She is especially gentle with the younger kittens at the centre, patiently allowing them to play with her tail and sharing her space with ease. While she is not yet entirely convinced that being picked up is the best idea and may squirm politely to express her opinion, she does enjoy gentle pets and affection on her own terms. With her thoughtful personality, quiet confidence, and easygoing nature, Perseverance is sure to make a wonderful companion. She would love to be adopted with her sister, Spirit, or another friendly young cat.
