Meet Polly! Polly is a 5-month-old female domestic longhair with a soft black-and-white coat and the sweetest face. This little purr-machine is equal parts playful and cuddly — she loves chasing feather toys, wrestling with her siblings, and then curling up in your lap for a long nap. Polly has been raised around people, is litter-box perfect, and has that wonderful kitten mix of curiosity and sweetness. Her long, fluffy coat is just coming in and will be absolutely stunning as an adult. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will follow you from room to room, Polly is your girl. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Steve is a very sweet boy with a gentle heart and so much love waiting to blossom. He absolutely loves meeting new people, coming up to say hello, and soaking up all the pets he can get. After a rough start, Steve has needed a little extra time to feel safe and comfortable, but he’s slowly learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. Steve can be a bit timid, and he isn’t always the best at asking for affection—but make no mistake, he wants those cuddles! Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys being held and snuggled. He’s a quiet little sweetheart who just needs someone patient enough to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. When it’s time to play, Steve has one favorite: the wand toy! Other toys? He can take them or leave them. But give him a wand and he’s ready for some fun. Steve has already come so far, and we know there is so much more of his sweet personality waiting to emerge. He’s looking for a loving home that will give him the patience he deserves, the cuddles he secretly craves, and the reassurance that he is finally safe. Steve has tested positive for FeLV and therefore requires specific care. This is not contagious to humans but can be passed to other cats. Steve needs to be in an only cat household or with other cats with this virus. Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from behaviorists at Petacademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All cats available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email cats@henricohumane.org for more information.
