Story
Snow is a very shy but incredibly sweet and handsome cat who brings calm and love into the home. He doesn’t bother anyone and patiently waits for his food every morning. He is quiet and well-behaved, only meowing when he needs a little attention. Snow does not like new people and will usually hide when guests are over, but once he feels safe, he enjoys roaming around the house and finding cozy, comfortable places to sit. He loves to come sit with his person, purring softly and sharing quiet companionship. He is a lovely, gentle soul who will fill a calm home with warmth and love. I am looking for a kind, patient, and loving family who will give Snow the safe and caring home he deserves.

Good with cats,
Story
Shakira is a stunning long haired, brown tabby, young lady we are thrilled to have with us. She was rescued from the mean streets as a stray. We think she is about 2 to 3 years old. Shakira is adapting to her foster home so her true colors have yet to come out but she is as sweet as pie. Loves to be petted and doted on. She is getting along well with her new foster feline friends. We would like to see Shakira in a home that is experienced with long haired cats. Grooming is necessary for cats like Shakira. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Good with cats,
Story
Kerry is a gorgeous, creamy white Persian with light peach colored hues like a flame point. We are thrilled to have with us. She is blessed with beautiful blue eyes. Kerry was rescued from a busy street. Just left there like rubbish. Thank goodness a good Samaritan carried her off to get her to a safe place. Kerry was very matted and had to be shaved and cared for. She is 9 lbs but most all of her is long white fur. She looks like a big heavy cat but she is not…just fur. Kerry has a lovely personality. Gets along beautifully with other cats. Likes to be doted on. Since she has very, very long plush fur we would like her to go to a home experienced with long hair animals. She will need to be brushed and groomed. Open your heart to this sweetheart.

PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2593980##

Good with cats,
Story
Meet Horus – A Gentle Soul with a Heart Ready to Bloom Horus is a stunning golden boy with a story as unique as his charm. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation in Egypt, this petite (just 6 lbs) boy who is estimated to be 1 year old is sure to transform into a fluffy bundle of love with a glimmer of Persian elegance in his features. Initially cautious, Horus is still settling and acclimating in foster care. Once he feels safe, he adores gentle chin scratches, pets, and being close to his favorite humans. He’s still learning that the world is a kind place, so he’ll need a patient adopter who understands the power of trust and time. Playful and kitten-sized, Horus delights in batting around toys and chasing interactive games. He also enjoys quiet moments — bird-watching by the window, curling up beside your laptop, or joining you for a cozy movie night. Treats help him bond to new people, and he’s a pro at using his litterbox. Horus would thrive in a calm home or and one where he’s is allowed a gradual acclimation time to feel safe. He’s only been in his foster home a short time and is already blossoming. In return, he’ll reward you with a loyal, loving presence and the joy of seeing him discover happiness and trust. Healthy, vaccinated, neutered, combo tested, microchipped, and currently being fostered in Burke, VA — Horus is ready to meet his forever family. Could you be the one to show this brave little traveler what home truly means?

Story
Meet AmunAmun is a young Persian who made his way from Kuwait to the U.S., and he’s been charming everyone with his big, soulful eyes ever since. He might have a “grumpy” little face, but behind that expression is an affectionate, sweet kitty.Amun is a little shy at first, but once he decides you’re trustworthy, he becomes a head-rubbing purr machine, who likes to check in with his humans for affection.Amun enjoys late-night play sessions and zoomy adventures with his feline buddies. He’s also great with the dogs and friendly with teenagers in his foster home (he just hasn’t met younger kiddos yet). One of his cutest quirks? He’ll quietly sneak around the house, then pop up to stare at you with his huge round eyes. It’s hilarious and adorable every time.If you’re looking for a social little fluffball, Amun might just be your guy.
