For the right person, earning her trust is what makes the bond so special. She’s a slow-blooming flower who prefers to take in her surroundings from the comfort of a cozy cubby or tucked-away bed. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into a steady purr machine who leans into gentle affection and forms deep, meaningful connections with her person. Cathy is a low-energy companion who enjoys life’s simple pleasures — sunny windows, Cat TV, and peaceful observation spots. She’s not particularly food-motivated or high-play, but as she settles into a home, her relaxed personality will continue to shine. She would thrive in a quiet, calm environment with adults or respectful teens (13+) who understand that trust takes time. Large, busy spaces can feel overwhelming, so she feels most secure in smaller areas with soft blankets, hidey beds, and predictable routines. Cathy has lived with other cats and may do well with slow, thoughtful introductions. Dogs have not been tested and are likely not the best fit for her sensitive nature. As a Persian, she will need regular brushing to maintain her beautiful coat. Her anal glands should be checked approximately every two months, and mild dental calculus will need routine care in the future.
