Story

Bella is a very sweet, gentle dog. She's great with children, and with a little initial supervision, also good with cats. She cannot, however, abide another dog. Bella was a rescue, and I don't believe had ever been socialized with other dogs. She loves walks, and just frolicking outside in the yard. When it's time to curl up somewhere, she's always ready for that as well. She's house trained well enough that we leave her out up to a couple hours at a time if we are shopping or going out to eat. We have started travelling a lot recently, and it isn't really fair to Bella, who very obviously misses us greatly when she is with the dog sitter. For this reason, we felt it better to find a home for her where she can be lavished with all the attention she needs.

Story

Hi! I'm Lyla, a sweet and happy Pharaoh Hound mix. I'm 6-years-old and I've traveled a long way to get to Animal Ark, coming from a rescue in Oman! It was a long plane ride, followed by a long car ride from Chicago. And through it all, I was extremely well behaved and no bother at all. That says a lot about my temperament! I was adopted from Animal Ark when I was 1-year-old, but unfortunately, my family is no longer able to take care of me so I am back at Animal Ark to find a new place to call home. I absolutely love people of all sorts but would do best in a home with children 8 years of age and older. I do great with cats and I'm good with dogs when given a slow introduction.
