Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Miyazato, L 76068, R 54DHi, I’m Miya! I am a smart, playful, curious and inquisitive girl, and learned the routine in my foster home very quickly. I love ripping the guts out of squeaky toys! I can do stairs, and walk well with my pack. I can be distracted by all the things to see and sniff, and sometimes struggle with refocusing on the walk. I love getting up early, and have started instigating early morning play sessions with one of the other dogs I live with! Hooray! I hope you love getting up early too. I like meeting new people, but sometimes if there are a lot of people I can be a little shy. But that is easily fixed with TREATS. I love treats! I do have a very high prey drive, and want to chomp cats and squirrels and birds and small fluffy dogs, so I guess we need to work on that? I will accept my kennel, but I prefer to be part of the action always. Do you think I’d be a great addition to your home? I’m a little bit of a loner, but I still like to be included, as long as it’s not too loud: I will join you for family tv night, but not the birthday party. I like to be near people, but not if they’re being loud. Kids are ok too, as long as they’re not loud. I don’t like loud things. I live with cats, and am slightly intimidated by them–look, it’s easier to just freeze because that way I am invisible and nothing bad will happen, ok? I love walks (as long as there isn’t an unexpected crowd of people) and looking for bunnies, and finding all the things to sniff. I also love FOOD, and maybe a little light counter surfing, and also eating very slowly. Sometimes, if I get bored, I might do some naughty chewing, but I am learning to not do that. Happy Hector, L 76109, R 64AHi, I’m Hector! I am a vocal, cheerful boy! I love to play with toys, and have been known to steal the occasional soft thing to play or cuddle with. Because what, honestly, is the difference between a pillow, a toy, and a shoe? Yes, I will give it back, and yes I am learning what is “off limits.” I like to lie on cool surfaces when I get too hot, but I also like comfy beds–or the occasional sneaky nap on the sofa! I am not the best right now at walking on a leash, and I prefer some privacy to do my business, so expect me to insert a tree or some shrubbery between us, but I think you can learn to accommodate my preferences. I am also an early riser! A vocal early riser! But I love to meet new people, and am friendly and cuddly. I don’t love my crate, and prefer not to be left alone, but I promise I am learning how to “sleep in.”Do you think I’d be a great addition to your home?
