Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
KW Bonnie Parker, R 59B, L 73620Hi, I’m Bonnie Parker! Don’t let the fact that I’m named for a notorious criminal fool you, I’m really a nice, gentle girl! I love squeaky toys, walks, being outside, being with people, and ear scratches. In fact I love ear scratches so much that I will do a little moany purr when you hit that perfect spot! I am very friendly and happily accept love and pets from everyone I meet, especially if they know the magic ear scratch trick! I am currently living with another greyhound and a cat, and I like both of them just fine. I am curious about the neighbor dog, but we have not been formally introduced; I have also not really interacted with any dogs smaller than myself. I do have VERY STRONG OPINIONS about thunder: it is bad and I will bark at it! This is not always appreciated (rude) but I will stop after being reassured that everything is ok. Along those lines, it has been suggested that I might need some basic obedience training (rude, again), but I think I am perfect as I am. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home? Story
Arkwild B Penny, R 54C, L 76052Hi I’m Penn! I am an active boy who loves to play with toys and explore the world around me! Even though I have a foot injury I am still recovering from, I don't let it slow me down–I love to go on walks and sniff my way through the neighborhood, noticing every squirrel and bird that crosses my path. I like to meet new people, but I’m unsure about dogs that aren’t greyhounds. Do they even count as dogs if they aren’t greyhounds? I enjoy a good neck scritch, and will give you a big hug in return to show how much I love it. If my people are home, I prefer us to be in the same space, and I don't like to go in the kennel if I know my people are about to leave. I will let you sleep in in the morning as long as I have toys to occupy myself with, but I would prefer we all got up and got the day started already! The vacuum cleaner is the only thing that has scared me even a little bit so far. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home? Story
Easi Winner, R 54A, L 76053 Hi, I’m Winner! I love attention, belly rubs, scritches, walks, and toys. I have a very sweet face, a derpy tongue, and an adorable way of flopping over for belly rubs–I’ll sometimes even stop, drop, and flop in the middle of the street if I see a likely candidate approaching! I am friendly, super smart, curious, and a tad stubborn, but that’s just because I just want to know what EVERYTHING is. I get along with people, cats, and all the dogs I've met so far–I even get along with the resident cat who sorta tolerates me giving her BIG sniffs every once in a while. I would rather not let you out of my sight if you're home because I want to see what you're up to. I need some basic obedience and time to learn what's not mine, but once I sniff everything and have a chance to check it out, I’m the queen of comforts. I’ve started experimenting with doing some wee baby roos, but other than that I’m generally pretty quiet. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?
