Story
Rose was abandoned from previous owner because she was pregnant. Rose had her puppies at the animal shelter. Months later we adopted her. Rose suffers from anxiety. She is very submissive, needs constant affection, and suffers from separation anxiety. My husband and I are planning to have a family and we worry for rose. We don’t think she is a good fit for our home and we want her to be happy. We think she needs a peaceful home and someone who has time for her that she deserves. Story
She gets along with a male Chihuahua and with my 3 cats. She has never hurt a soul. She is great with my 9 year old son but she doesn't understand how big she is and can knock young children down, she tends to jump but I am sure with training the jumping will stop. She is high energy and needs a lot of exercise, something I have a hard time giving to her. She needs a home with a large backyard, something I can't provide. She uses a doggy door that I have in my sliding glass door. Never has had an accident in the house. She is 5 years old and we found her initially on the side of the highway and couldn't leave her there.

F - 2 years old - German Shepherd Mix - Marlow is on the smaller side for a German Shepherd, but her sweetness fills the whole room. She’s a soft soul who lacks a bit of confidence. She’ll roll onto her back in submission, and also because she very much believes belly rubs should be happening at all times. She bonds quickly to her people and loves being close. So close, that she tends to give big hugs. She’ll lean in, press her body against you, and look up with those gentle eyes like you’re her whole world. With other dogs, Marlow has shown that she can warm up and even come out of her shell fairly quickly. She has a bouncy, push-and-pull play style that can include some nippy excitement, and while she means well, she can sometimes be a bit much for more sensitive or laid-back dogs. She’ll need thoughtful introductions and a well-matched companion if she shares her home with another pup. What Marlow truly wants is reassurance. She’s still figuring out the world and her place in it. When she feels unsure, she may overreact or completely shut down. But underneath that is a very sweet, very loving girl who just wants to feel safe and loved. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! We're open for walk-ins Tuesday - Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM with adoptions closing at 4:30 PM each day. All adoptions are $25 and our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with you.
