M - 9 years old - Siberian Husky Mix - Kenai has traded zoomies for wisdom and wild play for peacekeeping, but don’t let that fool you, he still knows how to have a good time. When Kenai joined our playgroup with three large female dogs, he made his role clear right away - he’s the referee of the yard. When play got too rowdy, Kenai would step in with a bark and a gentle nudge, restoring order like the seasoned pro he is. He doesn’t mind some playful company, but prefers when everyone keeps things calm and respectful. He’s vocal, expressive, and full of that classic Husky opinionated but good-natured personality. These days, his energy is winding down, and he’s happiest just hanging out, supervising the fun, and enjoying a nice breeze ruffling his fur. If you’re looking for a loyal, steady companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Kenai’s your guy. He’s ready to trade the referee whistle for a cozy spot by your side. M - 3 years old - Siberian Husky/Mastiff Mix - Sam (formerly Lemonade) brings the just-right mix of silly and sweet. Whether he’s chasing toys, splashing in kiddie pools, or enjoying a good head scratch, he's always has a smile on his face. He takes treats gently, sleeps through the night (especially if he's sleeping next to his people), and politely stays off furniture. One of his favorite ways to unwind is chewing frozen Kongs, using lick mats, and playing with food puzzles which help him settle and focus. He does best when given constructive ways to burn both mental and physical energy. Sam is house trained and knows his basic commands and is eager to please, which makes continued training very doable. He is still working on crate training, but he’s making steady progress. He happily eats meals in his crate, goes in and out on his own, and can rest comfortably inside for a few hours or while his people run errands. He does well with other dogs. He has a very high prey drive too, so he must not be able to interact with cats, small animals, or livestock. Medically, he has been diagnosed with mild bilateral hip dysplasia and early arthritis in his left hip. With proper care, added supplements, weight management, and appropriate levels of activity, he can continue to enjoy an active, happy life. Sam is looking for a home that understands his energy, will continue his training, and is ready to give him the structure and enrichment he needs to thrive. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! NYAH LYNN DOB: 02.14.2019 Nyah is gorgeous. We chose Valentine's day as a birthday for her because she is so loving. She is good with other dogs, loves to play, listen well and knows some obedience. Nyah would be the perfect jogging companion. Sticks to her person, not easily distracted once on course. She is super sweet and loves people. After doing a little research on Huskies, Nyah is no where near as vocal as most Huskies. She is happy to sit for her brushing and has this little body wiggle every time the brush reaches the base of her tail. It is so funny. She then looks at you and smiles when you laugh at her. Such a good girl. She is heartworm negative (and on Sentinel Spectrum to keep it that way), current on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, housebroken and crate trained. Story
She was given to us a year ago (previous owner on microchip and we can't access website to change). We got her after losing our stillborn daughter. She is. Purebred husky and we would take her on walks as much as we could until my health took a drop. She wasn't housebroken when we got her. We tried to, but now she has developed behaviors where even with a chuck she will void on the carpet wherever she pleases. Im currently 7 months pregnant with lupus too. I can't handle her anymore. She also nips at people-not a bite she doesn't clamp down and she also jumps on people and runs around knocking little kids over. She has no sense of personal awareness. She also barks and whines when my husband and I hug. She had separation anxiety when we got her from her previous owner and she is on meds for it. I need her gone as i cannot handle her or a newborn at the same time. We are also moving in the next month and the place we are moving to won't take dogs.
