Story
Bumi was born April 24th 2025. I adopted him from a family whose dogs accidentally had babies along with his brother who was adopted by my old roommate. He currently weighs 65lbs. He is always shy with new people and pets and can for the most part get along with other dogs. He is super loving and careful with me, my girlfriend and my nephew/niece. He loves to cuddle and dunk his head into you like he can’t get enough of your presence. He forms a strong bond and attachment. In a new home for him I am looking for someone who will give him the love and attention that I do and more. Unfortunately, Bumi does not get along with my other, older dog and often will start fights over toys, food and attention. This much telling me he’s more of a one dog household kind of dog and sadly I cannot give up my other dog. I will miss him dearly as I do love the little guy but he would be better suited in a home where he isn’t put second. He is loving, cuddly, playful, sweet, loyal and an amazing dog.

Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. April 29, 2026, 10:55 pm

Story
ABOUT WALTER Meet our active, energetic boy Walter! Walter is a 10-month-old Shepherd mix who is full of life. He came to HAP when his owner was unable to care for him. Walter has a typical shepherd personality, he loves to run, play, and use that gorgeous voice of his! Walter would thrive with an active family, as he loves spending time outdoors and with people. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
