Story
I adopted Maya from a shelter after she had been surrendered by her previous owners. She is a 7 year old Pit/Husky mix according to her paperwork. She is so sweet and loving when she is calm, but when she is riled up or anxious she has no control of herself and she can be accidentally destructive because of that. She would do best in a house with no other pets where she can be free to roam around and gnaw on her bone. She's not especially interested in toys but she loves food and loves to lay on your lap while you're relaxing in bed or wrapping herself around you for snuggles. We love her so so much and are truly heartbroken to have to rehome her, she deserves so much love and affection that I unfortunately can't give to her at this point.

Story
My daughter fell in love with khaleesi while visiting the SPCA in Old New Castle in 2020. She has been nothing but a loving mush ever since. (6 months later we found out she has a tumor in her bladder-has not grown). She never barks. The only times we have ever heard her bark was when she was protecting somebody in the family and even then it was only one singular bark. She absolutely loves people and has a natural curiosity for other animals. Her worst character trait is that she thinks she is a lapdog. She thrives on attention and cuddles. Now that she is 12 years old, she does require additional attention and pee breaks. Over the last 6 years, our family has changed drastically between deployments & new additions & we simply just don’t have the time to offer her that she needs. Being that she is an older dog, we would love for her to be w/ somebody that needs a companion by their side and can provide her with the best love and care for her remaining years. Someone with a large yard.

Story
Brandywine Valley SPCA pulled Milton from ACCT Philly, where they have too many pets and not enough space or adopters. He is described as “the best dog in the world” and is a super sweet senior gentleman. He is dog friendly too. He has done great with small and large dogs in the shelter for meets. Milton will enjoy rest time and loves blankets to nap on. Do you have room in your heart for this handsome senior? Milton is currently in a loving foster home. Please email our lifesaving team at WCFoster@bvspca.org to schedule a meet.*This pet qualifies for our Sponsored by Simba program`s Pets for Veterans: no adoption fee for any military veteran adopting a pet 1 year and older. *** This pet qualifies for our Sponsored by Simba program`s Seniors-for-Seniors offer: no adoption fee for pet 8 years or older by an adopter 65 years and older. *This pet is available at:Brandywine Valley SPCA1212 Phoenixville PikeWest Chester, PA 19380PA Kennel License #01647
