Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 14, 2025, 11:35 am

Story
Although it will break all the pieces of my heart, we have to rehome Banshee our black GSD. The reason isn't for anything she has done, but she is far too high energy and my wife with her PTSD has reacted poorly to her frenetic pace over the last two years. Adding to that, she has never quite gotten accustomed to our cats, who she stalks constantly. With my wife worrying about all of these, it has been unhealthy for her and it isn't fair to our other dogs (2) and various cats (6) who have essentially been banished to side rooms that we can make safe for them. Our wish is that Banshee simply go to a good home with kind people who don't have cats. Ideally people who are young and active enough to keep her engaged and direct some of her boundless energy towards more positive outlets. She is sweet around people, but her default position around unknown dogs is to assert dominance and there have been a few disagreements with her brother dogs.

Story
This is Sweetz. She is a very loveable, sweet dog that would love to be a lap dog. She adores attention and pets and will be your new best friend. She DOES NOT get along with other dogs. She has been wonderful with our children (we have had her since she was a puppy). She loves squeeky toys and chewy treats like bullie sticks. We absolutely adore her and would not be taking this step if not absolutely necessary.

ABOUT POLO Ready for a Challenge? Meet Polo, our high-energy dynamo! If you thrive on adventure and love a dog who keeps you on your toes, Polo might just be your perfect match! This 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix is a whirlwind of energy, enthusiasm, and heart. Polo came to HAP from San Antonio, Texas, after the devastating floods, and he's been making an impression ever since. Outgoing with everyone he meets, Polo is all about action, fun, and learning. We’ve been working on clicker training with him, and he lives for food rewards and mental challenges, he's as smart as he is spirited! He loves chasing after toys, zooming around our fenced fields, and invading the personal space of everyone he meets, all for love! Polo needs a home that can keep up with his energy, provide structure, and continue his training journey. If you're looking for a wild, wonderful, and super smart pup to be your next adventure buddy, come meet Polo today! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Zara has been a part of our family since she was a puppy. She will be 4 years old in November. We would love for her to go to a pet free home. She needs a lot of attention and with our schedules becoming more busy we are not able to provide that. We sent her to a two week training when she was a puppy where she was taught many commands like sit, down, place, and heel which she does well with, she uses a training collar. She is a protective dog so we slowly introduce new people to her which she does well with and have not had any biting incidents. She loves kids I have a 10 year old and a 18 month old.
