Story
Libby is a sweet, playful 8–9-month-old dog looking for her forever family. She came to us unexpectedly after a friend’s neighbor threatened to have her euthanized if no one could foster her. Since coming into our care, Libby has thrived. She is fully up to date on her vaccines and, after spending much of her early life on a chain or in a crate, now enjoys plenty of freedom to play and explore. She sleeps in her crate at night while everyone is in bed, and during the day she runs in our fenced yard and explores our home. Libby is remarkably well-adjusted, happy, and affectionate. She gets along with every dog she has met and loves people, too. She will likely remain a high-energy girl, so she needs an adopter who can provide regular exercise, attention, playtime, and guidance. Our senior cat is too low-energy for her, and our 3-year-old dog prefers to be an only dog, so we are seeking a better long-term match for Libby.

After guiding her to a safe space and gaining some trust, she was able to be leashed and brought to safety. It did not take long for her sweet personality to shine.Maggie has proven to be an incredibly loving and affectionate girl. She adores people, happily soaks up every bit of attention, and is always ready for pets and cuddles. She enjoys playing with other dogs in the yard and has done well with the cats in her foster home, making her a wonderful companion for any household.Maggie is already learning the ropes of home life. She knows how to sit for treats, is eager to please, and is quickly discovering what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. Every day, her confidence continues to grow.After everything she's been through, Maggie deserves a lifetime of love, comfort, and belly rubs.
