Story
*SPONSORED*Meet Holiday! Holiday has now spent an entire year in a shelter. Along the way, she has made so many friends, both dog and human. She is an exuberant bundle of joy and is incredibly charming with her own original batch of quirks. For example, her favorite form of play is to zoom as fast as she can--she just wants someone to stand there and watch her and maybe to encourage her to keep it going. Another endearing quirk: she will backwards tushie walk when she's begging for some attention. It's as adorable as it sounds! Holiday craves affection and is always eager for scratches and cuddles. She loves to be active and relishes a play partner who will just run with her--what good are toys when you can go as fast as she can? Whether you're scratching her back or simply spending time with her, you'll quickly discover the pure joy of her company. Her loving nature and playful spirit make her a perfect addition to any household. Holiday has had several playgroups throughout her time here--she will tolerate all kinds of silly behavior from male dogs but definitely does not want to be in the same room as another female.

Story
About a year ago, Buford began showing up, at this point a mere puppy, and slowly allowed himself to be tamed. He spent time between two properties, making friends with dogs, children, and anyone else. However, the time for him to find his own home has come! He has spent long enough outside, with no family to call his own. He is ready for a family to be his one-and-only. Buford is a big boy with arresting eyes that pierce right through you. His shaggy dark coat and tall stature paint a beautiful picture. We think that he is likely a livestock guardian dog/herding breed mix. He is slow to warm up, but once his faith has been placed in you, it is unshakeable. He is still nervous, but he has been so tolerant and calm throughout all his vetting.Buford has a ton of potential as a great family pet and protector.
