I adopted Prince last year. Prince is a very happy, active playful dog not to mention protective. The reason I am putting him up for adoption is because due to a change in my work life I can no longer allow for him to sit at home for so many hours alone I am looking for someone who has the time to spend with him the time to take him out, go for a long walks run around, play with other pets and enjoy his life.

Story
I adopted my dog from a shelter in Flushing, Queens during a time I was looking for companionship. When I first got him, he was a bit shy and socially reserved, likely due to his prior environment and medication. Over time, after gradually weaning him off and giving him consistency, his true personality came out. He has become a very affectionate, playful, and funny dog with a lot of character. He enjoys attention and has a silly, expressive way of moving that makes him easy to love. He is still young and learning, so he needs continued structure and training. He can be a little mouthy during play (play-biting), but he has never shown aggression or bitten anyone. He is still working on basic manners like not picking things up off the floor, so he does best with patience and consistency. I will be deploying to the military and I’m looking to stay in his life. My priority is finding him a stable, responsible, and loving long-term home where he can thrive.

Got her from a police station in Jamaica Queens. Someone tied her up outside the prescient. Obviously abused as a puppy. She is a sweet dog. Loves kids. Loves to run and play with other dogs. Innocently mischievous. Adult companionship most of the day would be ideal

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome guy is Dante. He is a young husky/shepherd mix (born June 2024), and weighs about 50 pounds. Dante is very smart, playful and full of personality - but we are not going to sugar coat it- he’s a handful! He is friendly, has had obedience training, loves to work for treats and knows plenty of commands- but will pick and choose who he will listen to and when he will listen.  A dog like Dante is frustrated in a kennel environment. We cannot meet his mental or physical needs. He needs a home- someone with the skill, time and patience to work with him. We are looking for a special adopter- the one who can see his potential and wants to help a dog in need.  A potential adopter for Dante must be an experienced dog handler, who can establish and maintain leadership from the start. He will challenge his handler- so this is an absolute must! A fully fenced in yard is required. We believe he would do best in a home with one or two adults. He has the potential to live with another dog. (But of course a meet is a must).   Dante has bonded with some of our volunteers, and can be very affectionate. We believe he has the potential to be a great companion- but only in the right hands. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This gorgeous German Shepherd is Sierra. She is 4yrs old and about 70 lbs.  If you are a fan of the breed, you will love Sierra! She’s a sweet girl, friendly to everyone. She walks well on a leash and knows lots of commands. Sierra has spent some time in the home of one our volunteers and was a perfect house guest. She’s housebroken, very well behaved and even great in the car! Sierra, like most shepherds does not enjoy kennel life. Sierra was once part of someone’s family and she’s longing for the chance to be someone’s  loyal and loving companion again. Sierra is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Sierra doesn’t  mind walking by other dogs but would be best as the only dog in the home. This wonderful girl deserves to be in a home!
