Hello, there! I'm Mark, a charming 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with a striking black and white fur coat. My story began when I was just a pup of about four months old. Hungry and seeking kindness, I wandered into a guest house on the beautiful Jeju Island in Korea. Fortunately, compassionate souls took me in, providing me with food and care. Despite my lovable and well-behaved personality, I haven't yet found that forever family I long for, even at three years old. I simply adore people. Approaching them and sharing affection is something I absolutely cherish—I'll rub my body against them and gladly accept cuddles from both familiar faces and those I've just met. Car rides are a breeze for me, and I'm more than ready for a delightful walk with a leash. When it comes to other dogs, I approach them with a friendly greeting, though I prefer to build a rapport before engaging in play. Meeting a cat during a walk piques my curiosity, but I always follow my human's lead when it comes to the leash. My journey thus far has had its challenges, but I'm now eager to find my forever family, share affection, and live a joy-filled life. Are you the one I've been waiting for? I got Oreo a year ago. I fall in love with his character. Very smart and yet very silly. Oh, yes he will talk back at you. He is home trained and loves kids. He is pack animal and he does very well with family. Very playful. He has a undeniable personality. With my new job traveling, and rest of family not giving him enough time, I am looking for a family that can adopt him and give him the time and love that he needs. Ghost is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet and will surely steal your heart! Laid back and very well-mannered, he's the perfect man to, say, bring home to the folks. Ghost enjoys an active lifestyle, with long walks and plenty of time to sniff out the latest smells. Great in the car, he is always up for a fun ride. Especially those who enjoy philosophical conversations about the meaning of life! Although Ghost is inclined to wonder whether being an only dog may be the best way to live, he is drawn to gentle female dogs and could likely live happily with another dog. Ghost's accomplishments are many. He takes treats gently and will not jump up on you. He is great on a leash, is house-trained and crate-trained, and will go into the crate upon request and sleeps overnight there without a sound. He has his silly, zoomy moments, like when chasing after his favorite toy he runs around the room. Very smart, Ghost would enjoy being mentally stimulated as well, and we encourage future partners to read up on some of the activities and training that will delight a dog like Ghost. Huskies are an inquisitive and active breed who can . . . um . . . pursue the wide world on their own if inadvertently given the opportunity. A large yard with a 6-foot privacy fence and time spent with fun games will help keep him well entertained and contained. This gorgeous dog will surely make some lucky family a wonderful, loving companion! HEALTH Ghost is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. HISTORY Ghost was found as a stray. His owners were located and contacted but did not want him back. Luckily, one of IAR's fosters intervened and brought him into the program! PHYSICAL Ghost is white with golden highlights on his ears, neck and down his back. His fluffy white tail often curls over his back.
