Story
Prince is a 9mth old neutered male Pitsky. He weighs 49 lbs. We pulled Prince from our local animal shelter . He was owner surrendered because the owners couldn't afford to keep him. This is a nice dog. He has shown great manners and he really wants to please you. He has so much love to give and is just waiting for his perfect family. He does know a few basic commands and is willing to learn more. He loves being included in daily activities and will follow along with whatever the family is doing. He does have some playful energy but he is not hyper. He has a wonderful temperament and should be easy to finish training. He appears to be house trained. He has been fine with children and other dogs. We are unsure about cats . He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. Donovan is a 1yr old neutered male Pitsky. He weighs 54 lbs. Donovan was pulled from our local dog shelter. He was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. Donovan is looking for his best friend. He would love to be your hiking partner or just your walking buddy. He is craving attention and tries to do anything you ask. He hasn't had much training but is learning good manners quickly. He does have some energy and would benefit from an active home. He would love to go with you on adventures as you both discover new things. He has a pleasing temperament with a willingness to please. He appears to be house trained. He has been fine with children and other dogs. We are unsure about cats . He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. This handsome boy is Diesel!Diesel is still very new to FDHS and is taking some time to decompress, so he can be a little nervous at first. He warms up quickly with a calm voice, gentle encouragement, and especially some yummy treats. Diesel has pleasantly surprised us with his leash manners, though he can be easily startled and may pull when he’s spooked. He has done well spending time in a securely fenced area where he can feel safe and explore at his own pace.Diesel is a young German Shepherd mix who recently came to FDHS after his previous family could no longer care for him. He came from a busy, multi-dog household, and with several other intact dogs in the home, things could sometimes feel overwhelming. Because of this, Diesel would do best in a home that can provide structure, clear boundaries, and careful introductions with any canine companions so he can feel secure and confident.Overall, Diesel has been friendly with our staff and easy to handle. As with any new dog, we recommend slow introductions to all household members. While we do not know if he has lived with young children or cats, with proper introductions we believe he has the potential to do well in many types of homes.As a German Shepherd mix, Diesel is a working dog at heart who needs both mental and physical enrichment. He enjoys being active, learning, and spending time with his people. An active household, especially one with Shepherd experience, would be an excellent match for this smart, sensitive boy.

Hey there, I’m Mr. Bear!I’ve been hanging out at FDHS for a few months now, and I have to say, I’m totally loving life here. Everyone around the shelter thinks I’m pretty much the best thing ever, and honestly, who could resist this big goofy smile of mine? I almost always have a wagging tail and a happy face. I’m playful, a little silly, and I LOVE attention. My favorite things are chilling with people, running around in the fenced yard, and going for walks where I can smell all the good smells. I get along great with other dogs, and I think I could probably vibe with a cat too, as long as we meet slowly and get to know each other. I might seem a little shy at first with new people, but give me a minute and a good belly rub, and you’ve got yourself a best friend for life. I’m also pretty tidy! I usually keep my kennel clean and don’t leave a mess for the morning crew. The staff says I'm a total dream boat and will make a wonderful addition to most types of family environments! I can't wait to meet my future family!**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 40 lbs**
