Story
Do you remember this sweet face? Meet Rose! When Rose first made an appearance on our Facebook page, it was because she was found on a country road, and 17,000 people viewed the post. Yet, she`s still at our shelter 6 months later ?? Could you be the person she`s meant to spend fur-ever with? Some details about Rose: She is dog-selective, meaning she gets along with some other dogs. We would require a meet and greet to see if she gets along with your dog. She seems unsure of cats and does not seem to have an instinct to chase them. We have heard that she might not be good with livestock, but this might be because she was with another dog and took part in `pack` behavior chasing livestock, so we would recommend `testing` her behavior if you own livestock. We want Rose to find the home that is right for her. If you`re interested in meeting Rose, let us know!

Story
Meet Echo - A Shy Soul with a Playful HeartEcho is a beautiful Siberian Husky mix who came to us from a tragic situation. While her original owner was at work, another dog in the home attacked Echo so severely that she required surgery, or she would be euthanized. Understandably, Echo came to us very afraid of everything.Echo has been thriving in a foster home where she has learned to trust other dogs who are similar to her in size. She has also learned to get along with a cat in her foster home, though we would always exercise caution when introducing her to cats or any dogs much smaller than she is. Echo is shy at first, but warms up to people once she knows them. Just like some people need extra understanding and trauma-informed care, we recommend the same approach for Echo. She has enjoyed meeting people at adoption events, but she has yet to find the right person.Like many huskies, Echo is a runner. This means that when she is off-leash, you can`t always count on her to come back to you. We would recommend not letting Echo off-leash unless you are in a fenced-in area. Like we said, she comes from a background of trauma, and if something scares her, her instinct is to run. If you`ve read this far and think you`re the right person for Echo, please contact us. We know the right person is out there for Echo!
