Story
Wib is a handsome Husky mix with a personality that's impossible not to love. Equal parts goofy, talkative, and charming, he has a talent for making people laugh with his hilarious noises, dramatic commentary, and expressive face. If you've ever wanted a dog who has something to say about everything, Wib is your guy. When Wib first arrived in our care, the world was a pretty scary place. With little experience navigating new people and environments, he wasn't quite sure what to make of shelter life. Since then, he's made incredible progress and continues to grow more confident every day.Wib can still be a little cautious when meeting new people, but he has discovered that treats are pretty wonderful. Offer him a snack and a little patience, and you may just find yourself with a new best friend. Once he feels comfortable, his playful and affectionate personality shines through, and his goofy antics are guaranteed to brighten even the toughest days.Wib is looking for a home that will continue helping him build confidence while embracing all the quirks that make him special. In return, he'll provide endless entertainment, plenty of laughs, and the kind of companionship that only a dog with a big personality can offer. If you're searching for a loyal friend who can make you smile every single day, Wib is ready to audition for the role. Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org

Story
It's hard to imagine what Sasha endured before arriving at PAWS. She was left on our property severely underweight and suffering from significant hair loss, showing signs of a difficult past. Yet somehow, her spirit was never broken. Though we may never know what her life looked like before, we do know she absolutely adores people. From the very beginning, she has greeted the world with contagious enthusiasm. She approaches every new person with full-body wiggles, excitement, and a genuine joy that is impossible not to smile at.Since arriving at PAWS, Sasha has come such a long way. While she is still working on the proper way to say hello to strangers and her favorite humans (her excitement can quickly turn into bouncy, jumpy happiness!), her manners have improved tremendously. She knows many of the basics through both hand signals and verbal cues and genuinely enjoys learning new things.Sasha thrives when she has a job to do. She is an active, intelligent dog who loves training sessions and is always eager to learn something new. Recently, we've been helping her discover healthy ways to channel her energy, and agility work has quickly become her favorite activity. Sasha lights up when she gets the chance to move her body and use her brain.Because of her energy level and love of learning, Sasha is looking for a home that can keep her engaged through walks, playtime, training, adventures, or other activities that allow her to stay active and mentally stimulated. She'll thrive with a family that sees her enthusiasm as the gift it truly is.Sasha has already overcome so much and continues to impress us every day with her resilience, intelligence, and zest for life. Now all she needs is a forever family ready to join her on the next adventure. Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org

Story
Maple’s young life has already been filled with far too much uncertainty. Her mom and litter siblings were originally dumped and left living outside before they were rescued and brought in. While the rest of her family found homes, we were heartbroken to learn that Maple had been brought into another shelter as a “stray" just a few weeks ago. Sadly, her adopter had rehomed her, and Maple once again found herself abandoned and displaced. With two dump situations and multiple transitions in just ten months of life, it’s no surprise that the world can feel overwhelming to her sometimes. Even so, Maple continues trying her best every single day.At just 10 months old, Maple is still trying to figure out this big, overwhelming world around her. Made up of several working breeds, she’s incredibly intelligent, full of energy, and constantly searching for direction—but underneath all of that is a young dog who simply wants to feel safe, understood, and loved.Maple can be timid when faced with new experiences and will need a patient, committed home willing to help her work through her fears at her own pace. When she gets excited, her playful side bursts out in full force. She loves to play, though she doesn’t quite understand how big she is yet and can be a little rough with humans while having fun. We’re helping her learn better manners and appropriate ways to channel all of her enthusiasm.Maple will need training, structure, guidance, and someone truly dedicated to helping her grow into the dog she’s meant to be. Herding breed experience is highly encouraged, as her nippy tendencies and working-dog instincts could easily turn into unwanted behaviors without proper leadership and consistency. But Maple is worth the effort. Beneath her uncertainty and busy mind is a dog with endless potential—a loyal companion just waiting for someone to believe in her. She needs a home willing to see past the rough edges, celebrate the small victories, and help her discover that the world doesn’t have to be so scary after all. Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org
