Story
Hobbes is a debonair, long-legged tabby gentleman who loves attention and will flop at your feet waiting for pets. He came to the SPCA after his previous guardian sadly passed away. He enjoys lazy naps and yummy snacks...maybe a bit too much as he has developed a bit of a big tummy and would benefit from a healthy diet to help him get trim. Encouraging exercise and play will help with this as well. He is a very friendly and affectionate guy though may be a bit nervous and anxious at first in a new environment. He's used to a quiet adult home so would likely do best in a new home without young children, though older cat savvy kids may be fine. Hobbes has lived with other cats before and may be fine with other animals with proper, slow introductions. Overall Hobbes is a handsome and affectionate cat who will make a great addition to the right home. Meet Rhys - the quirky king of character! If you're looking for a cat with personality, presence, and a whole lot of charm, Rhys might just be your soulmate. Just like his name-sake, Rhys is a little rugged on the outside, with a hidden heart of gold that shines once he trusts you. Rhys is a chatty, expressive boy who greets his favourite people with an enthusiastic chorus of meows, chirps, and squeaks. He's the kind of cat who makes you feel like a celebrity every time you walk into the room.Rhys is wonderfully interactive. He loves to follow his humans around, supervise daily tasks, and show off his playful side. Give him a wand toy and he'll proudly parade around with it, growling like a tiny panther who just caught his prey. Once he's had his fun, Rhys transforms into a cuddle connoisseur. He'll climb right into your lap, stretch up tall for kisses, and settle in for full‑body pets, chin scritches, and cheek rubs. When he's done, he'll let you know with a grumble and trot off to do his own thing - a gentleman who communicates clearly and honestly.Rhys is looking for someone who appreciates a cat with opinions and isn't thrown off by a little spice. He thrives with confident, cat‑savvy humans who understand feline body language and respect boundaries. If you're the kind of person who finds quirky behaviour endearing, Rhys will be your absolute dream companion. He prefers a calm, adult‑only home without other pets - not because he's unfriendly, but because he's sensitive. Rhys picks up on people's nerves, and he does best with someone who can meet him with patience, steadiness, and kindness. Once he trusts you, he bonds deeply.Rhys has a history of urinary issues, but he's doing great on his current Hill's C/D + Metabolic diet and will need to stay on it to keep feeling his best. He also takes his medication like a champ. This boy is truly one‑of‑a‑kind - affectionate, hilarious, expressive, and full of love for the right person. If you're a fellow quirky soul looking for a companion who will make you laugh, supervise your chores, and greet you every morning with happy chatter, Rhys is waiting to meet you.Think you might be his person? Story
Sweet, little ladies, Susie and Bobbie, came to the SPCA after their previous guardian sadly passed away. Both girls are dainty little things and can be quite shy and nervous at first in a new environment. Susie is definitely the more outgoing of the two where as Bobbie takes a bit more time to find her brave side and both like to curl up with each other in a safe space until they feel comfortable. They are lovely, sweet cats and will make a great addition to a nice quiet home given lots of love, a gentle hand, and time to adjust. They are looking for a home where they can ideally stay together as they love each others company and are comforted by it after such big changes in their lives. They have lived with other cats before but not dogs or children as far as we are aware. Slow, proper introductions would be important with any existing residents of their new home. Susie and Bobbie are used to a quiet adult home and would do best in a home without young kids or too much noise and activity. These beautiful ladies will certainly make a wonderful addition to your life with all the love they have to share and seeing them blossom into playful, adventurous cats in their new home will be so rewarding. Meet Susie and Bobbie today to be absolutely smitten! If you are interested in adopting, please apply in person or online at the link below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Susie & Bobbie are available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area while they await their spay surgeries.
