Story
Hi everyone, This is not an easy post for our family, but we’re looking to find a new home for our cat, Flower. We’ve had Flower for about 7 years, and he’s been a big part of our home. He’s a sweet boy who loves attention, will come up to you for pets, and is happiest curled up at the foot of your bed at night. He’s calm, affectionate, and has that quiet presence that just makes a house feel more like home. That said, our situation has changed. We have younger kids, and recently Flower scratched my daughter on the face, which ended up requiring stitches. It was a tough moment for everyone, and it made us realize that Flower would do better in a home with older kids or adults who understand how to read and respect a cat’s boundaries. We also have my elderly parents living with us. My dad recently had a fall and broke his arm, and while it wasn’t caused by Flower, it’s made us more aware of how important it is to keep the house as safe as possible. With everything combined, we feel

Story
Domestic Short Hair – Brown & White Tabby Male 9 weeks 2 pounds We are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Rancho Coastal adopts out kittens starting at 8 weeks of age. Many of them have been in foster homes for weeks and were even bottle-fed. If you are thinking about bringing home kittens, be sure to consider your time away from home and the ages of your family members. Kittens between the ages of 8-11 weeks old need more attention and care than older kittens. They need continued training and play time, and are generally better with older children. Kittens that are 4 months and older make better companions for young children and are generally more gentle during play. Rancho Coastal encourages adopting kittens in pairs, which is why we have created our “Two Purr One” Program: if you choose to adopt a pair of kittens, the second kitten has a waived adoption fee. Behaviorists recommend pairs because kittens benefit from the companionship and because they are more entertained, they do less damage around your home.
