Story
SID, came to us in the winter of 2024..He had been a tough street cat, but has made great progress since he has been here. He has become more trusting of and friendly with humans; actually quite friendly. He is NOT good with male cats, but okay with quiet female cats. He is okay with quiet, calmer, less boisterous dogs. Sid has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. SID loves to go outside on a limited basis and this can be discussed. SID is part of our "foster to adopt" program. . . . where a cat can be fostered for 3 to 4 weeks, before a formal adoption decision would be made..

These boys are foster-fails -- Chunk the big boy & Smudge the whiter of the two. We took them at about 4 weeks old and hand fed them. They are now 4 yrs old, very friendly with everyone that comes into the house, curious to what they're doing and hoping the person will provide a nice soft lap. They love and play with our dogs all the time, pestering till the dogs finally say enough. They are very comfortable being handled and let us clip their nails without much issue -- though they grump about it. The issue is that we have a set of older female cats (14 yrs) and they torment the older cats. We've tried pheromones throughout the house and collars for the boys, as well as baby gates to separate them. Nothing is working and the stress on the older cats is very apparent. If you're looking for some very chill, friendly big cats (close to 20 lbs -- hence the name Chunk, haha), that would love to provide companionship to a dog and sit on your lap, these are your boys!
