Story
This is August ("Augie"), a 3-year-old cat born in June. I adopted him as a kitten after a friend took in a pregnant stray. Augie is incredibly loving and affectionate. He follows me around, comes when I call, and loves being pet and brushed. He's more laid-back than playful but enjoys crunchy toys and chasing a wand. He loves to cuddle and be near his person. He has never hissed, bitten, or scratched anyone, and even his veterinarians comment on how well-behaved he is. He's been friendly with calm cats and mellow small dogs but hasn't been around young children. Augie likely has anxiety, and FIC has been suggested but not formally diagnosed. Due to a move and new financial obligations, I need to find him a new home. He has struggled with consistent litter box use despite trying different litters, boxes, and locations. While he's always been gentle with other pets, I believe he'd do best as the only pet in a calm home with someone patient who can continue working with him.

Story
I received four, 2-week old kittens and their mother from an apartment complex near mine. This complex is overrun with cats and a Good Samaritan, who already has 8 cats of her own, asked for help with this new litter.Koshihikari was alpha on day one! He was the first to start exploring and the first to jail-break out of his kitten play pen! While these may seem like menace-like qualities, he was really only trying to get closer to his humans. He will run and wrestle with his siblings, play with toys, and even jump on his mother. A very goofy boy, Koshi loves to find a good crevice - between couch cushions or wedged between a wall and a pillow - to sleep. He loves a good lap to lay in during nap time and is just the sweetest boy. His favorite toy right now is the box that other toys came in, of course. While I’d love for him to be adopted with his sister, Mochi, I think he would do well in a household with another cat to play with him.I have a neuter appointment for him in late-August.
