Meet Elmo — a brave little guy with a big heart and an even bigger will to live. Elmo came to the shelter as a stray after enduring a painful eye injury that led to the removal of his right eye. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s still very much a kitten: playful, curious, and full of love. He acts like a typical kitten most of the time—though if he’s being chased, he may bump into things, and he carefully backs down from furniture or cat towers due to limited depth perception. Elmo has some adorable quirks that make him extra special. He uses a small outdoor doormat as his scratching post, has a very strong sense of smell and loves Churu. Car rides? No problem—he usually falls right asleep in his carrier. Elmo will need a home without small children, but he loves dogs and another feline companion would be ideal. (A second kitten or playful young cat can teach appropriate play limits and help the kitten burn energy. Kittens learn best from other cats!)
