Cat’s Name: Ella
Cat’s Age & Sex: 7 year old female.
Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): I adopted her and unfortunately my situation has changed and I had to move in with my kids. My daughter is highly allergic and this has been such a difficult situation. I hope to find her an amazing home.
Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Ella is very independent, shy to strangers but loves attention once she gets to know you. She wants to be in control of that attention too.. such a sweet girl. She would be better suited as the only cat or maybe one other. No young kids as she would thrive in a more calm environment.

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): all supplies I can give will go with her
What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): dry food that prevents fur balls. But I just read how important wet food is in a cat’s diet . I hope in the next home you can incorporate it into her daily diet. Read more below to understand why wet food is so important.
:::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.
