Story
Trea just turned 15 years old. She’s been in our care for almost a year now, ever since her former owner had to go into a nursing home. She’s had a few meet-and-greets, but no one has adopted her.Although she has her favorite friendly caretakers and enjoys their company at the shelter, the environment is even harder on older pets and Trea was really struggling. But that all changed when her current foster came along. Trea’s reaction to home life is remarkable. After a few days to settle in she made new friends, feels more like herself, and she’s able to relax and rest and even sleeps next to her foster mom at night. She’s on arthritis management medication and accepts her medicine each morning.This second foster stay has again confirmed that all Trea really wants is a cozy place to sleep – and peaceful companionship. The simple joys in life, really.We want nothing more than for Trea to feel this level of comfort permanently, for all her days.
