Story
This is sandy but he doesn’t know his name yet (so you could change it.) Sandy was found on i40 and was about 3 to 4 weeks old. He is now 5 to 6 weeks out. He was later attacked by a dog and is missing one of his front legs. He will need a second surgery at 14 weeks but unfortunately we work full time and cannot give him the time he needs. But he is very energetic and a happy kitten considering everything he has been through. He loves is ball and likes to be with other cats but is timid at first. He has adapted very well to having three legs. He needs someone who has the time and money to take care of him. We have all of his vet records. We are on a very time sensitive schedule and want to make sure he gets the care and love he needs!

These cats are in Winston Salem, North Carolina too!

Story
Ready to Adopt? We know it's exciting to find the perfect kitten or puppy! To ensure each adoption is a great match for both the pet and the adopter, we offer a hold process that allows you to reserve an eligible animal while they complete their spay/neuter surgery and prepare to go home. Adoption Hold Process If you've found a kitten or puppy you'd like to adopt, you may submit an adoption application for an eligible animal. After You Apply Once your application has been reviewed, an Adoption or Foster team member will contact you to explain the next steps, including your meet-and-greet appointment, which takes place on your pet's scheduled spay/neuter surgery day. If you decide to move forward, you'll receive a secure link to pay a refundable $75 hold fee. Please note: The hold fee must be paid by the end of the business day. If payment is not received by close of business, the hold will expire, and the animal will remain available for adoption. Your Hold Agreement By placing a hold on an animal, you acknowledge and understand that: The animal remains the property of Forsyth Humane Society until the adoption has been finalized. While we make every effort to prepare each animal for adoption, we cannot guarantee that medical or behavioral concerns will not arise before the adoption is complete. Forsyth Humane Society reserves the right to make decisions that are in the best interest of every animal in our care. Meet & Greet and Adoption Day On your pet's scheduled spay/neuter surgery day: The foster family will care for the animal throughout the day and transport them to their surgery appointment. You will arrive between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM for your scheduled meet and greet with an Adoption & Foster Associate. During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to meet the animal and ensure they're the right fit for your family. If the meet and greet is successful: We'll complete your adoption counseling. We'll review your pet's post-operative care instructions. We'll finalize your adoption. Your $75 hold fee will be applied toward your adoption fee. If you decide the animal is not the right fit after the meet and greet, your $75 hold fee will be fully refunded. Missed Appointments If you do not attend your scheduled meet and greet and have not made prior arrangements with our team, your hold will be released and the $75 hold fee is non-refundable.
