Story
"Sophie" was taken in when my mother passed away - sweet, lap-cat, that craves attention. She has been spayed, declawed back feet, and indoors only. A great companion to my disabled mother for approx. 10+yrs, but now that she has passed, we need to find her a new home. My husband and son are highly allergic - and my son will be returning from college very soon. Also, Sophie does not do well with our big dog - she will run and hide. She is petite and loves Fancy Feast wet cat food. Please help me find her a new good companion before I must surrender her to a shelter.

Story
I got Honey about 1.5 years ago from an individual that rescued her. She has been nothing short of an amazing feline friend. Honey tolerates a playful Labradoodle and rambunctious 8 year old with zero aggression. She is affectionate, but not overly so. This beautiful girl is very low maintenance.

Story
We rescued her from a dumpster in Jan 2024 near Centre Park Blvd in Winston-Salem. This sweet little girl is about 1 yr old weighs approx 7 lbs. She seems like she was the runt. We call her Peanut;. She is very friendly; she loves cuddles, belly rubs, and will sleep with you. She will follow you like a puppy. She does not claw furniture and she likes the cardboard scratching pads and tall sisal/rope posts or a tall cat tree. She will let me clip her nails. She loves to play with stuffed catnip mice and small furry balls. She is entertained by watching bird videos for cats on TV. We have 2 older female cats and have just started are bullying her so I'd like to find her a stress free home.

Story
Our sweet Cucumber was born in our rescue 3 years ago. She was part of the Salad litter and mom and kittens were super social and sweet. She was adopted as a 16 week old kitten and dumped at a shelter at age 3. Fortunately she was microchipped to us and we were able to save her again. She is still so very sweet and loves belly rubs. She gets along with all cats and doesn’t mind my cat friendly dogs. She is ready for her REAL Furevet home. She is a petite dilute torti fully vetted and ready to love you. Story
Frank - I am a sweet boy but can be a bit shy at first.  I enjoy having my head rubbed, being pet and being held.  I absolutely love to play and have a lot of energy.  I love a laser but one of my favorite toys is a wand toy, that I often carry around and put in my bed for safe keeping.  I love other cats and would like to go to a home with another playful cat or kitten.  I enjoy playing with my sister Aili but we are not a bonded pair. I will need a patient person to help me acclimate but I am quite a lover once I adjust.April 17, 2024, 11:18 am

Story
Aili is the most entertaining kitten of her litter. She loves to play with springs and pretty much anything that moves.  Once she trusts you, she is very sweet and cuddly, enjoys having her chin scratched and being pet and held. She will require a patient person to build up her trust.  Aili needs to go to a home with another cat to give her some courage.  She enjoys playing with her brother Frank but is not bonded with him.  April 17, 2024, 11:18 am

Story
Tucker is a great cat. He gets along well with my 3 dogs yet doesn't with 2 female cats we rescued. This is why we need to find him a home asap. He is very independent, likes to be where you are, loves the bathroom sink, and looking out the windows. He also loves a little milk when my husband has his cereal! I've been trying to rehome him for a year now. I would rather him go directly to a home than to the shelter first.

Story
I got Hazel when she was 6 weeks old from a litter my friend’s cat had 9 years ago. I have a toddler and am pregnant with my 2nd child. Hazel is not a big fan of small children. She is good with older children, adults and other animals. I have another cat and a dog she’s been with her whole life. She is a good cat, I have had her so many years. We moved to Winston Salem NC from Long Island NY a little over a year ago and we do not know many people here so it is hard for us.

Story
Moose is a gorgeous boy… And if you ask him, he will tell you just that. He came from a home, where he was very much loved, but he wanted to be alpha and dominant over the resident cats. The other cats in the home were seniors or special-needs, and it just did not mesh well with what he needs. His family has been simply amazing. They have tried every thing known to man to try to keep him comfortable by himself but soon realize that he needs to be in a home where he is either the only cat or can be with another cat that he can be the alpha male, he has been around children as young as nine years old and has done amazingly well. Moose is a Bengal/Aby mix, per the previous vet. he has so many characteristics of both breeds. He is very loving and loyal. He loves adventure. He loves to play nonstop, and his best form of entertainment are the cat puzzles. He is on natural balance, limited ingredient duck food, and will need to continue on this particular food. Moose 15 months old. He is up-to-date on all vaccines, combo negative and neutered. He is litter box trained. If interested in moose, please go to our website and complete an application https://acfrescue.weebly.com/forms.html Moose’s adoption fee is $100. This covers all vaccines, Neuter and vet care
