She's still a very shy girl who spends a lot of her time observing the world from a safe, cozy hiding spot, but we're starting to see some really sweet progress! Liberty is becoming much more comfortable with gentle affection. While she may still hide quite a bit, she's now beginning to lean into pets and enjoy the attention once she realizes she's safe. 🥹🩷 Being picked up still isn't her favorite thing, and Liberty isn't going to be the cat who immediately marches into a new home like she owns the place. She's the kind of girl who needs a calm, patient family willing to let her settle in without pressure and build trust at her own pace. Because of her timid nature, Liberty would do best in a quieter home with adopters who understand shy cats and are willing to celebrate the little victories—the first time she chooses to stay out a little longer, the first time she leans into your hand for more pets, and eventually, the day she realizes she's truly home. Liberty is already showing us that there's an affectionate girl underneath all that shyness. She’s a sweet girl, but right now the world feels a little scary, so she needs some patience and time to settle in. She hasn’t seemed particularly interested in making friends with her cat neighbors, so Poptart may prefer a home where she can be the one and only queen of the castle. 👑 Right now, Poptart is living in our kennels and would love a foster home while she waits for her forever family.
