Story
Abu is an approximately 7-month-old tabby boy who is very timid and would much rather hide than be in the spotlight. While he’s extremely shy, he has shown no aggression at all toward people or other cats—just a scared little guy trying to feel safe.Abu would do best in a calm, patient home where he can move at his own pace. He may benefit from having a confident feline friend to help show him that people aren’t so scary after all. With time, consistency, and gentle reassurance, Abu has the potential to gain confidence and truly come out of his shell. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane-Ellensburg Shelter If you recognize this animal, please contact the adoption center at 509-925-7387 Ready to adopt? Story
Ollie is an adult male cat who we believe would make a great barn or working cat. He’s comfortable around people and enjoys play and interaction, but very much on his own terms. Once he decides you’re okay, he’ll engage—but he appreciates having his space respected.Ollie is alert, confident, and observant, making him well-suited for life in a barn, shed, or workshop where he can settle in, keep watch, and help with pest control. He’s not looking to be a lap cat, but he will thrive with consistent care, regular meals, and a safe place to call home.If you’re looking for a more independent cat who can do his own thing while still being part of the routine, Ollie could be the perfect fit. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane-Ellensburg Shelter If you recognize this animal, please contact the adoption center at 509-925-7387 Ready to adopt?
