She’s a confident, independent girl who prefers attention on her own terms and isn’t shy about claiming her space.Iris does take some time to settle in and can be quite territorial at first, so she will need a calm, experienced home without children. Because she can become overstimulated and may react when uncomfortable, she is best suited for an adopter who understands cat body language and respects boundaries. She is not a fit for a busy or high-energy household.Iris has been returned twice due to behavioral challenges, so she is looking for a very patient adopter who has experience with cats who prefer interaction on their own terms. She will also need to be the only pet in the home, as she does not like to share her space with other cats.With the right structure, understanding, and respect for her personality, Iris has the potential to thrive and show her softer side.
