Gizmo is a sweet senior cat (~11-12) who is gentle to his core. Tragically, his trusted owner unexpectedly passed away. The home he has grown so accustomed to enters foreclosure in 2 short weeks, and shelters for miles are full for at least a month. Gizmo is now in urgent need of finding an adopter or foster.Gizmo is fully indoors and neutered. He has been socialized for years in a 6 cat household (see our other listings), but like all mature cats he knows the pleasures of solitude and routine. He has some stress-induced sniffles—likely an FHV flare, not uncommon in seniors during trying times—and just needs shots updated.In spite of his loss, Gizmo welcomes interaction with newcomers with a receptive and trusting curiosity. While young children can be a bit too energetic for him, he is always patient. He would make a wonderful, faithful companion in an adult or elderly household. Giving Gizmo a home - even temporarily - would save his life, and he will repay you in love.

Peekaboo is a tender hearted 6 year old female whose eyes gaze right into your soul. Right now, her eyes speak to a deep sadness at the heartbreaking loss of her owner who has unexpectedly passed away. There are only 2 weeks remaining until her home faces foreclosure. With all sanctuaries and shelters currently at max capacity for the foreseeable future, Peekaboo is in desperate need of foster placement or a loving new family to adopt her. Peekaboo is fully indoors, spayed, in good health, and has lived her life peacefully among 6 other cats (see our other listings.) All cats handle loss differently. Peekaboo has taken refuge in stillness and isolation, seeking low stimulation hiding spots like atop the basement furnace. She is patiently waiting for her life to return to normal again. A gentle cat like Peekaboo who shows such a high emotional capacity for mourning is one who is also capable of a profound love and kinship. There is no greater reward than saving such a beautiful life.

ReeRee is an adorably shy female cat who is facing uncertainty in the hardship of her owner's sudden passing. Deep down, she is curious and almost playful about the distance she keeps. She'll escape to the sidelines and pretend not to notice you while she side-eyes and learns all about you. She likes to stick to the side of a trusted housemate. She and Raspberry (see our other listings) often share hiding spots, and they would make a comforting pair to adopt together. Whether a double or single adoption, the most important thing is that ReeRee is safe in these dire times. She is already spayed, healthy, and all she needs is a vet visit to update her shots. Raised in a 6 cat household, we know she will build trust again in any loving family.
