Story
Kate has quite a story.  In 2015, Kate was part of an at-risk feral colony.  She and five others were humanely trapped.  They were hissy, lunged and wanted nothing to do with humans.  In time, however, each found loving, forever homes.  Kate was the last to tame.  But 2018, she was adopted.  While her home was loving, it wasn't forever.  The woman who adopted her developed health issues. In 2022, Katie was back at the shelter.  It's been five years since Katie's shelter days.  She has gained some weight but still has her very expressive, big, round eyes.  Now she likes to be petted for short periods of time. She'll even gives head bumps!  She always liked other cats and still does.  Her favorite things are eating, playing laser light and looking out the window.  We can't guarantee that Katie will ever be a lap cat, but we can promise she'll be a great companion and appreciate every day in her forever home. In 2015, we promised that group of feral cats that we would find them loving, forever homes.   Please help us keep that promise to Katie!  Maybe you're the one who can make Katie's wish come true! Diamond (5/18/22) was flown to Pet Search from St Thomas on the February 2024 transport. This little girl was living in the cat house at the shelter and was so afraid of everything. We chose her to fly to Pet Search to give her a chance to find a forever home. It took a little while for her to come out of her shell and enjoy being petted, but she now enjoys getting love. She can still be a little frightened of fast movements but has gone such a long way in a years time. Diamond is felv/fuv negative, vaccinated and spayed. Agatha (1/14/23) is a stunning short hair torbie. Agatha came to Pet Search in the spring of 2025 as a local stray and learned to adjust to a home full of both dogs and other cats. Agatha is mine most content snuggling with her foster mom and is enjoying being with other cats. She is felv/fiv negative, spayed and microchipped.
