Flag is recovering very well and is ready to enjoy life at a comfortable, steady pace. Because of his recovery, Flag does not need a large yard—regular walks and low-impact activities are more than enough to keep him happy and healthy. He has a low to moderate energy level and would do well in a calm, supportive home. Flag does well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. He can be a little timid at times, especially in new situations, and benefits from patient, gentle handling. While there is no indication that Flag would not do well with children, he would thrive best in a home where his boundaries are respected, as is important for any dog. With time, consistency, and kindness, Flag will continue to build confidence and make a wonderful companion.

Sweet Betty came to us from another rescue friend. She was a stray who gave birth under a woman’s mobile home. The woman was feeding her, but the cold weather was coming in fast and they wouldn’t make it out in the cold. Betty and her babies made it to us in warm South Florida and have been thriving. All the pups have been adopted and it’s Betty’s turn! She is very shy, but super chill. She loves to chase the squirrels and make sure they don’t come down out of the trees into her yard! When she’s not chasing squirrels she’s napping. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and on flea/tick prevention. Meet Scarlett: Scarlett is a 7-year-old Bloodhound who was transferred to us from Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. When she arrived, she was overweight and had a large mass that required medical attention. After care and recovery, Scarlett is now healed and ready to begin her next chapter in a loving home. Scarlett is a very sweet, gentle girl with a low to moderate energy level. She would be well suited for a quieter household and could do well in an apartment or condo setting where she can enjoy a relaxed routine. Like many hounds, Scarlett is still learning polite leash manners and will benefit from continued practice and patience on walks. She does well with other dogs and enjoys calm companionship. At this time, we have not yet observed her interactions with children or cats, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be important in a home with either. Scarlett is looking for a kind, understanding family who will appreciate her gentle nature and give her the comfort and stability she deserves.

Toe-bias can be shy and timid when first meeting new people or adjusting to new surroundings, but once he has a chance to settle in and feel safe, his gentle and friendly personality starts to shine through. He does especially well with other dogs and seems to take comfort in their presence, often becoming more relaxed and social once he’s had time to calm down. He would do best with a patient adopter who can give him the time and reassurance he needs to feel secure. A quieter environment and steady routine will help Toe-bias continue to grow in confidence and show what a sweet companion he truly is.
