Hi! I am Carly, people tell me I am smart and beautiful! I make my foster parents smile because I am so cute in how I talk when I am asking for something. I have taught them all my languages for my needs! I can sit and wait patiently to be petted, I know to lay down and stay on command. I love to give my toys to people when I play. I live with other dogs, and am ok with most dogs, but can't play too hard. I am housebroken and crate trained, however it makes me a bit worried when I am left alone, so my perfect home should have someone who works part time,or has a hybrid schedule. I would be safer in a 6 foot fence but they may consider other options, as I do love to take long walks. Being an investigative hound, I could not be expected to stay in an unfenced yard! Older kids would be best. Meet Ellie Mae! Ellie Mae is a 4-year-old Plot Hound/Australian Shepherd mix with a big heart to match her big girl size—she’s about 60 pounds of pure happiness! This smart, smiley girl is housebroken, listens very well, and even knows commands like “leave it.” She’s incredibly intelligent and has quite the personality—Ellie Mae is talkative, expressive, and always ready to tell you about her day. Ellie Mae is super lovey and adores humans of all ages. Kids? Love them. Adults? Obsessed. She shows her affection with kisses, cuddles, and her signature happy smile. She also does great with cats and would be perfectly content soaking up all the love in a home with them. When it comes to food and toys, Ellie Mae prefers not to share, so she’d thrive best as the only dog in the home—where she can truly be the center of attention (and honestly, she deserves it ). Overall, Ellie Mae is just a joyful, affectionate, smart girl who wants nothing more than a loving home and a human to call her own.
