Meet Banjo! He is an approximately 4 year old Plott Hound. He’s crate trained , potty trained , and walks nicely on a leash. He came from an over-crowded shelter and was at risk for euthanasia due to space. Banjo loves a good spa day (baths). He loves playing with toys and bouncing around the back yard. He should have been named Tigger because bouncing is his favorite! This boy has an amazing personality and can entertain himself! He can be a little dog selective, but with proper introductions he’s been wonderful with other mellow dogs of all sizes. (He’s not been tested with cats yet). Banjo is the best boy, as his foster mom would say, and he is ready to find his forever family.

Hello Everyone! My name is Brooke... I have to admit, I am an older Lady... but that doesn`t mean I`m not full of life and my best years are still ahead of me. I weigh 56 pounds and my brindle coat is simply beautiful. Unfortunately I found myself at the shelter through absolutely no fault of my own. I`m a very friendly, happy and social gal... I just need to find my forever person to spend the rest of my days with. Might that be you? I`d do best in a home with no small kids. Also I did absolutely wonderful for my intake exams! No tears even for all of my pokes. If I sound like your kind of Lady please make your way down to Indianapolis Animal Care Service and ask the nice peoples at the front desk to meet me... I know you won`t regret it! It`s hard to meet new people and pets quickly after leaving the shelter. I might need some time in my new home to decompress and process my new surroundings before meeting the whole gang. That`s ok though because IACS offers a cuddle before you commit program to ensure I am the best fit for you and your home. We`ll have pleanty of time to get to know everyone! *Please apply on our website at indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. *Click on the adoption application link, enter your information, and click submit. You can include multiple pets that you are interested in on one application. *Once you have submitted your adoption application, please visit the shelter to speak with one of our Adoption Counselors, who will assist you with meeting some of our animals. *We offer a Cuddle before you Commit program where you can slowly introduce it to the rest of your animals and family, and then finalize your decision.
