Meet Cookie! This 6-month-old plott hound/terrier mix is 38 pounds of brindled beauty! Cookie arrived at GLDR with her sister and the two of them are searching for loving homes just like yours! Cookie is everything you'd want in a pup! Curious and cuddly, she enjoys cruising the yard but always makes time to stop to visit with volunteers for some snuggles. True to her name, she has an endearing sweetness and loves to be close to her people. She enjoy her belly rubs, is very food-motivated, and gives great kisses! As she is still a young lady, Cookie will benefit from continued training, daily exercise and a yard to enjoy in her new home. Adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment that will pay you back in years of happy memories. Based on our evaluation, we feel Cookie would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. She may have the capacity to live in a home with another furry friend and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby! She is friendly and gentle. She will need time to adjust to new expectations. She has never been in a house. She has only lived in a kennel, instead of doing the hunting she would rather run in the woods and play, so she needs to be a pet. She is sweet but timid and would love to have a family to love and play with. We do transport with Rescue Riders Pet Transport. One of the most animal friendly transports on the road.
