Mariah is a sweet lady who is about 4-5 years old and looking for her forever family. We are still getting to know her, but we know that she just loves her people. She is pending dog testing still. Mariah is about 50 pounds and some sort of hound mix. She's a love that anyone would be lucky to have in their lives.

Transports run every few weeks, and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Dipsy, 1.5 years old, neutered male, black mouth cur and plot hound mix, 64lbs. Dipsy is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Dipsy is a tall, dark, handsome introvert with perfect natural eyeliner, soft soulful eyes, and fur so smooth you’ll want to pet him (please do—he loves a good brushing). He’s a mysterious-but-goofy boy who proudly digs through toy boxes like an archaeologist on a mission to select the perfect one and rolls in the grass like he’s checking into a luxury spa. Dipsy takes time to bond, but once he trusts you, he’ll wake you with gentle paw taps and his deep “Barry White” morning voice. He loves to play—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—so he appreciates help remembering to take cooldown breaks. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, plays politely with cats when he’s bored, and does best with kids 10+ since he’s still working on toning down his excited “love pinches.” Dipsy is housebroken, crate trained, respectful around food and toys, fantastic in the car, but might steal a snack off the counter. He also loves sliding himself under your desk like a big furry foot warmer, “talks” when you come home like he’s giving you a full recap of his day, and once in a while stares dramatically into the distance as if he’s in an indie film. His ideal home has adults or older kids, ideally another dog friend, and people who enjoy walks, playtime, and letting an introvert unfold at his own pace. If you’re patient, loving, active, and appreciate a beautiful, quirky, soft-hearted boy Dipsy might be your perfect match. Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. Haroo, my foster Mommy said I had to give an update on me. I am now 11 months old! She has been helping me deal with something called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Man, thems big words. I will just call it what foster Mommy says, EPI. It means that that pancre-something thing inside me doesn’t give me enzymes so I can digest proteins. So foster Mommy puts enzymes in my food to help me with that. Also, Mr Vet Dr said because of this EPI thing, my B12 level in my blood is low, so foster Mommy gives me a shot every other week of B12. I am a good boy for those and don’t even feel them, as long as I hold still. Other than that, I am still learning various commands. I tell foster Mommy when I need to go out. I sleep all night with foster Mommy. I love playing with other dogs and cuddling with humans. I can sometimes get scared when I don’t know someone, but will warm up to them especially if they have treats. I am okay with older children. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately

Story
Ulti is being fostered in PA. Ulti is both BLIND and DEAF. Ulti/Glitch is doing well. Glitch is a confident social butterfly and has no fears. She loves to go anywhere she can interact with people and other animals. She walks wonderfully on a leash and enjoys car rides. Glitch is currently learning how to crate, something she wasn't able to handle as a puppy and she is doing great with it. She uses a doggy door to go in and out for potty and yard time. Glitch absolutely loves children and is a very personable girl who also enjoys snuggling next to her people. She is not a high energy dog but would do well with an active family/person or a laid back quiet home as well. She is working on her touch commands and knows the sit, wait and come. Glitch is 37lbs and won't get any bigger. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
