Story
Introducing Cricket!! Cricket is an approximately 2 year-old petite Plott Hound mix weighing in at 38 pounds. Cricket spent over a year in an outdoor shelter, but now has a new leash on life living outside those walls with her foster family. When she first got out of the shelter, she was a scared pup—hiding behind the couch and under the table, not sure what to think of her new digs. Fast forward to today and she is as spunky as ever, zipping around the house with her fur and human siblings and playing with ALL of the toys. There is no favorite toy of hers—they all are! To sum up Cricket’s personality—she is spunky, goofy, playful, and energetic. She gets along well with all of her fur siblings as well as human siblings. We are not sure how she will do with cats as her foster home does not have any. Cricket is a very smart girl and is very food motivated. She is doing great on a leash and is house and crate trained. She is learning tricks like to sit and give paw. Cricket would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced in yard where she can run and stretch her long legs. We would highly recommend her new home have another dog to continue help her gain confidence in being an inside dog. Cricket is up to date on all required vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Cricket will be available for adoption with Paws Across Pittsburgh on or after 3/10/2024. KL# 16182 ##1991589##

Story
Hi, I'm Pippa! I'm a 43 lb. Plott Hound mix and around 2-3 years old. I came to Paws Across Pittsburgh with my puppies. I lived in an outdoor kennel at the shelter, so now I'm learning to live in a house. Some things are a little scary, but I'm adapting well and I love it! I enjoy sitting in the back yard in the sun and will relax out there all day if you let me. I love to sleep in my bed in my cage at night. Actually I'll sleep in my bed pretty much anywhere, I'm pretty easy! Sometimes I'll bark for a couple of minutes when you first put me in my cage, but then I relax and go to sleep. I sleep all night and don't make a peep. Sometimes I don't even want to get up in the morning! I keep my cage very clean and bark if I need out to go potty. I haven't had any accidents in the house so far, but I'm taken out on a consistent schedule, so that helps. My new family will have to be patient and help me adapt to my new life. So far I've been the goodest girl though! All I want is love, attention and all the pets you can give me! I play really well with my foster siblings too. I'm not cat or kid tested, but I'm really sweet and laid back, so I think I would be just fine! I'm spayed and up to date on my vaccinations and now I'm ready to live my best life! If you can give me the life I deserve, please apply for me at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com.  I'm available for adoption on or after 4/21 at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Story
Meet Percy! Along with his five adorable siblings and their charming hound mother, Pippa, Percy is excited to find a loving home. At 12 weeks old and weighing 14 pounds he has a gorgeous brindle coat. Percy is diligently working on his crate and potty training, showing improvements daily. He's comfortable sleeping alone in his crate at night and enjoys spending time with the fosters four-year-old son under close supervision, as he's still learning to curb his puppy play-biting. Percy loves to play with his sister Phoenix, who is also looking for a forever home. He hasn't had the chance to meet any cats yet. When sleepy, Percy loves to snuggle up by your legs and adores being petted. He's also a quick learner, picking up commands like 'sit', 'down', 'come', and 'crate' with great enthusiasm, thanks to his food motivation. He will most likely grow to be a medium size dog when fully grown. Percy has been neutered and microchipped, and he's up to date with his age-appropriate vaccinations. He's also been treated with flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. Ready for adoption from Paws Across Pittsburgh in Springdale, PA on or after April 21st, 2024, Percy is just waiting to bring joy and puppy love to your home! Story
Meet Pixie, a 12-week old Plott hound mix! Her mom is 40 pounds, but she’s a bit of a chonk at 18 pounds already. Pixie is highly food motivated and picks up tricks pretty quickly. She loves zooming around the fenced in yard and needs another dog to wrestle. She also loves toys and snuffle mats to work out that hound nose. There are two cats in the foster home, and Pixie is curious about them though she gives them their space. She is great at going potty outside on command but still working on only going outside. She’s also learning how to not say thank you with her teeth. Her favorite place to nap is in her crate cuddled up to her sister though there may be some crying at first when the door is closed. She’s still working on being crated during the day but has been sleeping through the night in the crate with no accidents.      ##2021656##
