Meet Frankie:
Frankie made it to Wisconsin on the 2/14/26 transport and is now safe in a foster home in Cedarburg, WI thanks to Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He is officially out of the neglect and hoarding situation in Arkansas and is doing very well as he adjusts to life in a home.
Frankie is a super sweet and beautiful 1.5-year-old boy with a gentle heart. Despite his difficult past, he has proven to be a happy, friendly, and incredibly loyal dog. He loves his people deeply and forms strong bonds — he truly just wants to be near those he trusts.
He is adjusting to living in a home really nicely and is doing well with potty training. He’s not a huge fan of the crate yet, but he is working on it and continuing to make progress with consistency and reassurance.
Frankie is now enjoying supervised off-leash time at his foster home and is doing great. One of his absolute favorite things? A tennis ball! He LOVES playing with one and gets all goofy running around the yard, proudly carrying it and tossing it around. His playful, silly personality really shines when he’s having fun — he is super funny and full of joyful energy.
Frankie is a BIG boy at about 89 pounds — a stunning brindle-coated Plott Hound mix (best guess) with a strong, handsome presence. Recently, he attended a meet-and-greet event at Farm & Fleet and also walked around Winter Fest in downtown Cedarburg. He handled both outings fantastically, meeting new people, navigating busy environments, and taking it all in stride.
He gets along well with other dogs, has previously lived with cats, and is likely good with kids. Frankie is a wonderful, resilient dog who has endured so much and truly deserves a stable, loving forever home where he can continue to thrive.
