Hi, I'm Trip! If you're looking for a big soft cuddler who loves hanging at home with his people, I'm your guy! We don't know too much about my past life but it sounds like I was a stray. I've been learning the ropes of house dog life from my foster mom and sister the past few months and I'm ready for a house of my own! I'm very comfortable in a crate, but I also love to snuggle on the couch or bed with my humans. I would be very happy in a house with a yard where I can decompress in my own space. I can be reactive to strangers, new dogs, bikes, and the vet, so I need a strong and patient human who will work with me on getting comfortable with these things at my own pace. I listen well and respond to treats and positive reinforcement, all I need is someone willing to put in a little time! I could do well alone or with siblings, but they should know that sometimes I can play a little rough. I love to show off my beautiful singing voice though when my siblings hit the squeaky toys-it makes all the humans laugh! My foster mom says I'm the handsomest boy and I'm very loved by all the humans who have met me. She knows all about me and can answer any questions you have. I can't wait to meet you!

MEET  BIRCH!!! Birch is the SWEETEST, most easy going 2 year-old Pointer/Lab mix! He is timid and shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he shows his sweet and wiggly side. He'll need a bit of patience and a few days (about 5) in a new home before he will start exploring and feeling comfortable. Birch seems to warm up to women a bit faster then men. Birch is a great leash walker! He would love to have daily walks or hikes! He makes an amazing hiking partner.  Birch is housebroken, kennel trained AND doggy door trained!  He is very smart and learns new things quickly. He already knows SIT and STAY. He is food motivated so he's easy to teach new tricks. Birch enjoys his toys, but is not possessive at all. He enjoys a good nylabone or a stuffie to toss around. Birch is great with kids (his foster home has a 7 yr old) and he is GREAT with other dogs. Smaller kids who run and yell a good deal would be scary, so older (over 5) would probably be best. Birch does need to be adopted into a home with another pup, so that he has a buddy to keep him company... preferably one who has happy-go-lucky playful energy to encourage him to show his playful nature. He also does well with Chickens and Cats! Birch is a great lounge dog, and does enjoy being comfy on the couch. MEET   ZANE!! Zane is good with dogs of all sizes! Zane has not been introduced to cats, so that is an unknown factor. Zane has been friendly with both males and females, but he does seem to favor females. He is quite friendly and does love affection, but is not overbearing with his attention seeking. Zane would do best in a home with other active medium to large dogs. Zane does have some separation anxiety and does not like to be by himself; he has shown some minor destructive behaviors intermittently. Zane is teachable and responds well to corrective commands, and is doing well with a training collar. Zane will require reinforcement of training and patience while he learns it. Zane loves water and the pool! However, he is not a graceful swimmer in deep water. Zane is very active and playful with other large dogs in foster house; while play can get rough he has not exhibited any aggressive behavior. Zane is great on walks and has not shown any food aggression. Zane has a gentle mouth for treats. He does seem to have minor skin allergies which may require ongoing treatment, but they respond well to medications. He loves chew toys, balls, playing fetch. Zane has been amazing on restaurant patios and social settings ; very nice manners for a big boy! MEET CANNON  !!! This sweet, docile and smart boy is just amazing!! While he's calm and laid back most of the time, when he gets the opportunity to play, he is excitable and full of energy. He'd LOVE another dog to play with!   We recommend an adopter with another dog the same size as Cannon. He will do best without small animals in the home.  Cannon also enjoys walks and would be a great hiking partner.  He is still working on his leash manners and does like to pull a bit so someone that knows how to continue leash training will be helpful. He is a bit car shy but once in, he settles down quickly and is very well behaved. He's already housebroken and knows how to use a doggy door.  He will require a home with a solid block wall...(while he's never tried to jump over one, he can jump high, so a chain link or shorter wall will not work.)  This friendly boy likes everyone he meets--he just loves attention. MEET LUNA!!  >>>Miss LUNA is extremely loving and affectionate! She is super playful and loves her toys. She is good with ALL people including kids-- She can be a bit protective and territorial, but with the proper intros may coexist with another dog. (She has not yet been introduced to cats.)  Luna is loving and playful, she LOVES hiking, fishing, swimming, etc. She would make an excellent partner for an avid regular hiker.  She loves playing with toys and is good at entertaining herself  Luna is already housebroken and crate trained. She's a GREAT leash walker and loves taking leisurely strolls.  She is a larger dog who loves to run around, so she will do best in a home with a nice backyard. Luna is super eager to please, learns quickly and is very intelligent.  She's just a big goofball with a silly personality. She will make an extremely good addition to any family!
