Story
MEET  VON!! Von is a very affectionate and loving boy who thrives on attention and cuddles. He truly lights up when you come home, showing his excitement with joyful energy and tail wags. Von loves being close to his people and will happily curl up next to you for hours of snuggles. He just has a super sweet nature! Von is quite clever and curious, so he needs an owner who understands his playful, sometimes stubborn personality, and a good strong pack leader will be beneficial. He is an impressive jumper, so he will need a home with a taller block wall. He has had good intros/ meeting with other dogs, but does best living in a home as the only dog, where he can get all the love and attention he craves without competition. Unfortunately given his breed has a strong prey drive, so no cats or small animals. Overall, Von is a loving, loyal dog who just needs the right family that can give him structure, attention, and a safe environment to thrive.  Leash trained, Crate trained, Lap pet, Tries to escape, Predatory, Independent/aloof, Affectionate, Gentle, Goofy If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com   December 17, 2025, 3:37 pm

Story
Meet Dale! A dog whose story is one of strength, determination, and endless affection.   Dale’s journey began in Costa Rica, where he survived being hit by a car more than two years ago. Although his injuries weren’t treated immediately, Dale never let that define his future. He sustained a spinal injury, but what he lacks in mobility at times, he more than makes up for in heart.   Before coming to the U.S., Dale lived on a farm with many other dogs, then spent several months in the home of a veterinarian receiving more frequent laser therapy. That care continues here, along with acupuncture, and while ongoing physical therapy may bring improvement, Dale has already proven he knows how to adapt and thrive.   Dale cruises confidently in his wheelchair, earning him his fitting nickname after Dale Earnhardt and when he’s out of it, he still gets around surprisingly well. Indoors, he wears a belly band to prevent accidents and happily uses a doggie door.   What truly makes Dale special is his personality. He absolutely adores people and soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it. He’s a devoted shadow, following his humans from room to room just to be close, and he’s a world-class snuggler. Dale does wonderfully with kids and currently lives peacefully with other dogs in his foster home.   After everything he’s endured, Dale deserves a loving home where he can finally settle in and feel secure. He’ll give unwavering loyalty and affection.   Dale is one of eight dogs rescued from Costa Rica, all given a second chance at life, and now it’s his turn to find his forever family.   If you’re ready to open your heart to a truly remarkable dog, please fill out an application on our website. A meet-and-greet and home check are required. January 17, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
Hi there! I’m Sadie — a smart, strong, petite (just 35 lbs!) and sweet 2-year-old Pointer mix. I’m an e-list survivor who got a second chance at life, and I’m determined to spend it making my forever family laugh, smile, and stay active! I’m a joyful little athlete who loves long walks and runs, shredding my favorite toys, and—of course—peanut butter Kongs. 🌟 My Personality & Skills Kid-Approved: I love kids of all ages—from tiny newborns to teens. I have plenty of energy, but I'm gentle and respectful around babies. Wiggles & Cuddles Expert: Treat-catching? Check. Toy-fetching? Absolutely. Full-body tail wags and warm snuggles? That’s my specialty. Crate-Trained Queen: My crate is my cozy safe place. I sleep there at night and settle in nicely when left alone. Good House Manners: I’m potty trained, though I may have the occasional young-dogoops. I try really hard to be a good girl! 🐾 Important Adoption Notes: I've completed a 2-week board and train program to work on my confidence. I need a family who comitted to my growth. I've progressed so much in to weeks, but confidence can't be rushed. My trainer has offered to work with you for my continued success! Slow, Thoughtful Intros: I warm up beautifully, but I need slow and structured introductions to new dogs. 🩺 Health & Basics I’m healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines. I’m 35 lbs of happy energy wrapped in the cutest little body you’ve ever seen. ❤️ Why You’ll Love Me I was saved because someone believed I deserved a chance—and they were right. I’m loyal, playful, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s best friend. If you’re looking for an active, loving, fun-filled companion with a heart of gold, please consider adopting me. Let’s start our adventure together. Love, Sadie 🐶❤️

Story
Cicero is an AKC registered Bracco Italiano who came to Sky Sanctuary after being left behind with a trainer. His owner never returned. By the time he arrived in our care, he was overwhelmed with anxiety and emotionally shut down. His body reflected his stress. He was frail and unable to gain weight while living in constant uncertainty. The moment Cicero entered the sanctuary, something beautiful began to happen. With safety, routine, and consistency, his nervous system started to settle. His eyes softened. His trust slowly began to return. And little by little, Cicero showed us who he truly is. A goofy, goofy boy who gallops and prances across the yard like a baby deer, full of awkward charm and quiet joy. Cicero is still learning. He is fearful, but so desperate to trust. He wants connection. He wants to belong. And he is trying every single day. Although he made remarkable progress with us, we knew Cicero deserved even more support to build confidence, learn basic obedience, and fully step into his potential. He is now in a professional board and train program with our wonderful friends at Sofus Dog Training, where he is doing wonderfully. We are beyond excited to watch Cicero continue to grow into the confident, happy dog he was always meant to be. His story is just beginning, and we cannot wait to see what lies ahead for this incredible boy. If you are ready to open your heart to a sensitive and truly special young soul who will reward patience with genuine, meaningful connection, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once received, we will happily arrange a meet and greet so you can fall in love with Cicero in person.
