Story
Sweet puppy Haze will be arriving to Rhode Island from Houston the week of May 20 2026 adoption ready :)  He is the kindest and most charming puppy....everyone who meets him falls in love with him in an instant....and he is such a dapper fellow with the most handsome markings!  He's a happy little mutt puppy with several breeds melded in....a fun genetic mystery who is a little over 11 lbs at approximately eleven weeks of age.  We think he was separated from his mom early, after which this poor fellow spent a month at a large intake shelter in Houston getting passed over, but he has very much relished  being in a foster home these past couple of weeks!  His foster in Houston has been keeping him in an ex-pen with a box to curl up in, which he loves and is also so heart-meltingly adorable to see.  Haze is very social and wants very much to make friends with other dogs.  Placing him with another dog would be a perk so that he can catch up on some dog socialization, but it certainly is not essential, although we do recommend as a single pup that he be enrolled in a puppy playgroup, which are lots of fun to attend as well.  He'd do very well with a full family to provide him with plenty of attention, which he loves.  Haze is doing very well with learning the ropes as an eager and attentive pupil and should be a breeze to train, is coming along well with his housebreaking, and does well on his walks.  He will make a perfect companion to devote your time to through your adventures this summer and beyond!  For further information or an application, please contact Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com  Our adoption fee is $450, but unfortunately due to state restrictions we cannot adopt to residents of New Hampshire or Massachusetts.

Meet Sweet Zoey, She is approximately 40lb and 4 yrs old loving girl who is looking for her forever home. Zoey can be a little timid upon meeting new people but will warm up quickly especially if treats are involved. One of Zoey's favorite things to do is lay on her window seat while soaking up the sun rays or just watching for anything interesting. When she isn't busy keeping an eye out, she loves her cuddle time bonding with her person. She is crate trained, housebroken and knows to sit for treats. Zoey is going to make someone the perfect companion. Currently located in Jackson, (West TN). Transport out of state can be arranged with additional cost of $185. Story
Dove is one of the sweetest souls you will ever have the pleasure of loving. This beauty is 2-3 years old. She is a pointer lab  dalmation mix and weighs 56 lbs.  A true bringer of Peace and Harmony – Dove is a people lover with a calm energy and the sweetest face you can imagine. Her eyes are those of an old soul and with one look she will melt your heart. For a girl with only 3 legs, she can move with the best of them, but she’s just as happy to be curled up on the porch or lying out in the sunshine. Dove LOVES people, is great with kids and loves getting all the pats and attention. Her tail will immediately let you know how happy she is to see you when walk into a room with her.  Dove is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Story
Meri is a smart and curious little girl. She is one of the first puppies to run up and greet us as she loves people. She will often break away from her siblings and playmates to explore her play area, looking for a toy or just to check things out. Meri is a funny girl, she gets animated when asking for attention. She keeps herself busy when she needs to. She gets along well with the other puppies, she will make a great addition to most families. We are unsure of the exact breed mix this beautiful girl is, even with a photo of mom. We believe she will be a large sized dog as an adult in the 55+ lb range. She is growing fast, we will do our best to keep her photos updated, but just know that she may be a bit bigger. These photos were taken on 3/1/26. We suspect she has Cattle Dog in her, if so she may be do well with super young children, as this breed tends to be "nippy" as they are a hearding breed. She will come current on her vaccines, spayed, microchipped and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. **This is an Out Of Town listing. We transport to the city on this listing.** ______________________________ Considering adoption? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/dog Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents
