Story
Meet Freddie – The Sweetest Gentleman with a Heart of Gold Gentle, loving Freddie has been through more than most dogs ever should—but you’d never know it by the way he lights up around people. Freddie was left abandoned and rescued from the railroad tracks alongside his best friend Sydney after being abandoned and left to starve. He was extremely malnourished when found, but even in his weakest moments, he greeted everyone with kindness and quiet trust. Now, Freddie is healthy, happy, and ready to find a forever home filled with love and companionship. He’s a mellow, calm, and incredibly sweet boy with impeccable manners—the kind of dog that just makes you feel at peace when he’s nearby. Freddie is also wonderful with other dogs and needs a home where he’ll have at least one canine companion. He loves having a buddy to relax with and finds comfort in the company of other dogs. He’s currently unsure about cats, therefore, slowly introducing is advisable. If you’re looking for a kind, gentle soul to join your home and heart, Freddie is the perfect fit. He’s the kind of dog who will be forever grateful—and will show it every single day.

Story
Meet Sydney – A Spirited Survivor with a Heart Full of Love Sweet, spunky Sydney is a little sized dog with a huge heart—and a story that will touch yours. She was found living on the railroad tracks with her best friend Freddie after being cruelly dumped and left to starve. For two long weeks, she struggled to survive—but even then, her spark never faded. Today, Sydney is thriving. She’s smart, potty trained, knows basic commands, and affectionate, and full of joyful energy, always ready to play, explore, and show off her newest trick. She absolutely loves other dogs—they’re her favorite playmates and snuggle buddies. In fact, Sydney would do best in a home with at least one other dog, as she thrives on companionship and loves to curl up with a friend (canine or human!) when the fun is done. Sydney is also incredibly cuddly—she melts into your lap and adores being close to her people. She’s always up for an adventure, but she also knows how to settle down for a cozy nap next to someone she loves. This little dynamo will need a home that can keep up with her active mind and body—she’ll do best with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and someone who appreciates her lively spirit. She’s currently unsure about cats, so slow introductions. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and lively addition to your pack, Sydney is waiting to meet you.

Story
Hi I'm Tahoe! I'm a very good boy who landed at an over-capacity county shelter thru no fault of my own. Thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue pulled me from that shelter and gave me the medical and general care I needed to be ready for my forever home. I appear to be a pointer and/or cattle dog mix estimated at around 2 years old and recently weighted in at just over 50 lbs. I am friendly with dogs and people at the rescue. My one lingering issue is that I did test heartworm-positive and am currently undergoing treatment using the "slow kill" method, which will have to be continued by my adopters by administering oral meds. My rescue will cover the expenses for those medications and retesting until I test negative, which will happen in due time.My $350 adoption fee includes my continued heartworm treatment as well as up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, vet exam, neuter, and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.gofar.dog and complete a free, non-binding adoption application. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21
