🐾 Meet Leo! 🐾
Leo is a 7.5-year-old, 80-pound Pointer mix with a heart just as big as his long legs! While we're not exactly sure what breeds make up his mix, one thing is certain—there's definitely something much larger than your average Pointer in there. This handsome guy loves having plenty of room to stretch out, especially when he's relaxing near his favorite people.
Leo's superpowers include being an excellent canine companion (he gets along wonderfully with other dogs), faithfully announcing when the mail has arrived, and doubling as a personal space heater—this boy is a furnace when it comes to cuddles!
Leo currently takes a daily Prozac to help him feel more comfortable around an energetic toddler, though he lived happily without medication for his first five years in the home.
Leo loves his daily walks and enjoys following every scent along the way. Spot a squirrel? Be prepared—he has a strong pull! Despite his enthusiasm, if he actually caught one, he'd probably just try to make friends, so hunting isn't exactly his calling.
This smart boy is fully house-trained, knows his commands exceptionally well, and is convinced he understands English. He's mastered every treat puzzle he's been given in record time! Food is definitely the way to Leo's heart.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate best friend who loves to snuggle, keep you warm, and be by your side, Leo is ready to fill that role. This gentle giant is looking for a family that will appreciate his sweet personality, give him room to stretch those long legs, and enjoy years of love and companionship together.
Leo is fostered in the Cincinnati area. HIs adoption fee is $175.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
