Story
Otis`s Compatibility:Dogs - Has enjoyed playing with other dogs!Cats - TBDKids - Best with kids around 8 and upOtis is an 11-year-old coonhound mix with a whole lot of good years ahead of him. He`s been loved his whole life, and it shows. He`s the kind of dog who knows how to just be. Housebroken and well-behaved when spending the day home alone, he doesn`t need constant entertainment to be happy. Give him a noisy toy, a treat, and a bed with the sun hitting it just right and he is one content guy.He walks well on leash and has a history of playing nicely with other dogs. Otis has lived with kids and done well, though we think he`d thrive most with children around 8 and up. A dog this easygoing and well loved doesn`t need much to be happy. He`s settled, he`s sweet, and he already knows how to be part of a family. He just needs a new one.As part of Dr. Roth`s Frosted Faces Program, Otis`s adoption fee is waived and he goes home with a senior blood panel, dental work if needed, a two month supply of Senior Cosequin, and a brand new orthopedic bed. We think he`s earned it.He`s been a good boy his whole life, and his next chapter is waiting. Meet Otis at HSHC today!

Story
Have you ever laid eyes on such a dapper and dignified dog as Hamilton? This 4-year-old, 65-pound bundle of joy is not just a handsome face; he`s a heart full of potential waiting for the right person to unlock it! Although he was adopted from Misty Eyes as a puppy, the whirlwind of life has left him a bit unrefined in the socialization and training department. But don’t let that deter you! With a sprinkle of love and a dash of patience, Hamilton can learn the ropes and shine like the star he truly is. This sweet boy is a gentle giant who prefers to express himself through tail wags rather than barks, is already crate-trained, and peacefully coexists with resident cats and most large dogs. His favorite activities include soaking up the sun, indulging in belly rubs, and playing with his toys—talk about a laid-back lifestyle! A chaotic, busy environment does seem to stress Hamilton somewhat, so a quiet home with a fenced yard would be best for him. With so many pets in need of homes, there`s no time like the present to open your heart and home to Hamilton. If you`d like to meet him, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.
